This not a criticism. This video was uploaded (u/l) in 2007 (long ago back then videos were stored by YT after u/l at a lot lower resolution [384x288 - right-click inside the video and choose "Show video info"]). No matter what res the u/l was it degraded by YT to lower res.For a higher res version type user "nyrainbow4" in Search. Had same problem & had to re-u/l videos and lose all Views, but now YT stores them at the original u/l res. I now u/l at 800x450(16:9), that res is preserved.

Its strange to see The Who lipsyncing to their record for a tv show. Guess you got to do what you got to do. Wonder if Roger had to do the two step dance to get off stage when the vocals came in early on the recording just like Ashley Simpson on SNL lol!!! No just kidding. Other then a couple of early performances on tv, Zep wouldn't do this kind of show, they wouldn't lipsync for tv, again gotta do what you gotta do to make a living, can't blame them. the who were mods in 1965/1966 this clip is 1971 ..5 years after they grew out of it i should know i was there.

they were just trying to align themselves with a popular movement of the time. it was all calculated by their manager at the time, so they would "make it". but when pete penned "my generation" the real rock took over, and the rest is history.
