@ducatiphill I wrote two reviews on the V-Strom DL650, and felt that ABS would be nice, but not necessary. I think what ABS does is give the rider who wants it a more comfortable peace of mind about braking. Yes, ABS is nice. It's an additional expense, and you don't want it if you are taking this bike off the pavement. Owners have personalized their ABS editions by installing a turn off switch.
