I use acronis with my linux server clusters working with plesk...an absolutely delight, never had a pissed off client losing their data

Acronis 2011 has a problem which many people have complained about.

"How annoying is that icon blinking and moving when the non-stop backup is paused? Is there any way to stop it happening"?

No there is not. Many people are wanting a refund until this problem is eradicated.

@kniighthood Infected file backed up with Acronis will be restored in the same state – that means it will still be infected. You need to use Antivirus to remove virus, such as with acronis.com/homecomputing/prod­ucts/antivirus/

@jack0420jack It looks like you have errors on the drive. Try: Start -> Run -> cmd -> chkdsk /f /r -> reboot . If the issue remains, please contact support and let me know the case number.

Acronis True Image 10 really saved me on two occasions. I have nearly 8 years worth of stuff on my HP 854n. Over the years I upgraded the memory, video card, etc and it still runs great. After a bout with a stubborn computer virus a few years ago, I bought Acronis and cloned my hard drive onto a similar (but faster) drive. Later when my computer got infected, I merely swapped the HD out with the good one, designated the infected drive as drive D, scanned it, and detected the virus easily.

@wbcmac2000 It works on win 7.  After reboot though, Windows said my copy of Win 7 was not genuin, ? Had 2 choices of buttons in message box, " like get genuin or do it later" so I just ignored it and chose remind me later, rebooted again. and everything is beautiful. from 1tb and 2 160 gb's to 3 tb's, system from 160 gb to 1 tb, very impressed.

This product has saved my data from a failing hard drive. Also, I used it to easily upgrade my laptop hard drive to a larger unit. Process is easy with Acronis. I highly recommend Acronis to people BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS and I have restored data with this product! Some other backup solutions look like they work, but unless you have done a data restore, you do not know. Also gives you the ability to restore individual files. The cost is very reasonable for the time and data it saves. :-)
