First - Panda cubs are babies. Take that into consideration. They grow up to become full grown bears, capable of mauling and killing humans when threatened. They are wild animals and act upon instinct. Grizzly cubs are cute too, but let's face the facts.

Second - Pandas are distinctive to China. They all live in China. Any Panda located anywhere else has been shipped from China to that country. They are China's animal. They live naturally nowhere else.

Third - Even if there were Pandas in abundance, you could never keep one as a pet. They are incapable of being domesticated simply because they grow to become so big. They are bears, whether we see them that way or not.

Finally - Chinese economy is to blame for their dying population. At one point, farming and clearing of forests inadvertently worked to destroy their existence. This was never intentional, however expansion for more areas to farm and live killed environments for...

They treat them with the utmost respect and care and work hard to keep them alive. The Panda is a very hard species to breed and it is hard to procreate and upkeep their population. They never purposely hunted or killed Pandas. It just happened. From the looks of it, they are working hard to fix what they have done.
