Why would anybody want to watch the fighting scene in A Clockwork Orange or Bloodsport or The Protector or any of these other action based fighting films? It's the same thing, only with no takes, no wires, and no stunt doubles.

This faceslap battle is their answer to the chop battle of Kobashi and Sasaki, and it was a thing that was almost certain to happen at some point, and well, it did. Two persons who would exchange face slaps to see who was really the toughest of the two. So in a psychology way, it didn't make sense with the rest of the match, but in the history front, it made all the sense it could.

The two dudes, prior to this match, had have their battles of the slaps, whenever they would meet in a tag match, where it always got broken up.

Just some shows before this, Kobashi and Sasaki had their epic chop battle, that startet because it, likewise with Akiyama and Suzuki, started because there was to be determined who was the best strikers of the two brawlers

To the people who don't understand why they did the chop battle: Suzuki and Akiyama have had a bloddy rivaly of who is the most baddest. Jun is known to be able to take any face slaps and no sell them, one time with a smile. The same goes for Minoru, who is also know for having one of the hardest face slaps in wrestling.

That slap-fest was pretty bad, it just doesn't make sense to keep slapping someone. And yeah, terrible ending.

Plus, you need to wear something else apart from DT's in the ring, combined with the white colour, it loked like he was wearing a diaper.

The match seemed pretty good up until the 10+ minute slap fest, which was ridiculously boring. Its like they just decided to throw away the psychology of the match after the 20 minute mark. Really weak ending as well, Suzuki had been dominating the entire match and he just loses like a bitch out of nowhere. Not believeable at all, worst GHC match of the year.

That was the first Minoru Suzuki I saw when I originally got it, and it is still my favorite Suzuki Match.

I loved the rear naked choke on the ropes, and Oh my god, I know those dudes can't feel their faces. It reminds me of Sasaki-Kobashi chop fest. That was an awesome wrist clutch exploder.

Enough about the entrance and Suzuki! The exploder in the end was sick! STRAIGHT on the head! Also, the entire match seemed to build up towards the face slap gallore. Kool that!
