I always found the land unit to be worthless. I'd just get an army of ships. They could reach any city and by the time I reached a city not on the sea I'd have already unlocked air units...

Ahaha, this is great. :D I'm having fun with the rest of the game despite its flaws, but death is too good for whoever designed the Civ phase...they should instead be forced to play through it, over and over and over again just like they expect us to. I was promised a sandbox not a shitty RTS. :(
