  • NICE!

  • anyone know how the distributor cap would function under water?

  • @GPrMike03 The 03-06 Rubicon has an I6 4.0 liter engine equipped with a one piece ignition coil rail that bolts down over the top of all six plugs at once. No distributor.

  • @GPrMike03 Its a 2003 or older Wrangler, the distributor cap was fazed out after the (I think) 99 model. My 2000 doesn't have one, so it was sometime before that.

  • Every time I watch this, I'm still like "oh no! hydro lock!"... then I remember he has a snorkel. LOL

  • @HummerInvestmentsInc - good luck without a snorkel, even my jk wouldnt make this... the snorkel saved its life... watch as his front end drops its goes about 1-2ft under the water... that's where your issues are, with stock intakes... a h2s intake also has a vent on the right quarter panel for extra flow... bad idea for any kind of off-roading...

  • wait, everyone noticed the snorkel and tht kept him from hydrolocking? but what about the alternator? distributor?

  • @cclover89 coil packs, no distributor. As far as the alternator goes, as long as he isn't going underwater for 30min at a time, there should be no problem.

  • Badass JEEP! Went through that like nothing!!!

  • Snorkel wont save your dashboard electronics.

  • @rawkm but properly sealing the right things you wouldn't have a problem as long as your not trying to imitate a boat and keep it in the water for a duration of time...

  • damn at first i didnt see the Snorkel and was like "well..hes an idiot" lol

  • At first, I was like holy shit, he's gonna hyrdolock that thing... then I saw the snorkel. NICE JEEP!!!

  • @PowerSports420 dude i thought same thing, i was like how the fuck did he do that without a snorkel, and then i noticed...

  • dude you were about 6 inches away from a $15k paperweight...

  • The miracles of snorkels.

  • badASSSS my man u shoulda drove right up the fucker

  • Awesome

  • thats the funnest thing ever bro, i have an 04 rubicon with a 3in lift and 33" dick cepek fc-II and recently put on my safari snorkel and tested it out with water reaching my front winshield, scary but exciting!!

  • like a boss

  • all you have to do is hit the gas and go straight through.... it has a snorkel.

  • O||||||||O

  • holy christ thats crazy man. haha

  • That is a gas engine right? That thing must be pretty water tight

  • Good thing he had that snorkel on there

  • thats how to cross a river

  • Nice! How you hydroisolate your distributor?

  • @Grater812 Don't need to. That Jeep doesn't have a distributor.

  • @Grater812 seal the cap to the distributor and run the vent over the windshield

  • @gwarbo Thanx! I already sealed distrib cap but not yet move up vent. fix it soon!

  • he has a snorkel

  • I kinda have to admit that was pretty badass.

  • you can do anything with a snogle

  • would do that inn a truck that small..but i would wit my bronco on 54s:)

  • @IBMX131

good thing that he isn't in a truck, then :)

  • free carwash

  • Awesome

  • That was pretty deep, but jeeps are for school girls ;)

  • @matgonjinn good joke almost made me laugh ;)

  • its works cause he has a snorkel on it.

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck dude. scared the shit out of me.

  • OK.. i have a Question.. When you do this, Do you disconnect your Fan or something?? because when i do this my engine Boggs down bec its trying to turn the fan...

  • @91toyotaoffroader

He might be running a electric fan that he can just turn off with a switch, thats the set up I have on mine.

  • holy shit i live in ashland man

  • all easy!

  • YES SIR!!!!!!!!!!! THAT A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love the hawk a loogie at the beginning.... It just shows how badass the jeep is going to perform. DONE AND DONE

  • that is ridiculous, u didn't even have a winch, damn son

  • Holy shit!! and i agree with TWBaltz. u gotta pair. hahaha

  • You wouldent understand, its a jeep thing

  • Getting the itch for speed and thinkin about trading the rubi in on a jeep SRT-8.....damn i'm ganna miss doing stupid shit like that and getting away with it. :)

  • lets see a Hummer H2 do that..

  • @cledus10376 It cant, thats the problem

  • @cledus10376 if it had snorkel, it would. driving underwater is nothing special. this jeep is just as EFI as a suburban, er i mean h2. :)

  • @cledus10376 Not that I like H2's or whatever, but that water would probably not crest the hood of an H2, let alone stop one with an after market snorkel like this jeep has.

I would imagine you could do it in a stock H2.

  • @t4thfavor1212 said he has a small lift... looks like a 4" to me. prob about the same height

  • @t4thfavor1212 no not without a snorkel... watch as his front end drops 1-2ft below the water surging it into his engine bay... and a H2 has a side vent for extra air flow... without a snorkel i don't know what stock vehicle would make this... my jk lifted 4.5" and on 35's wouldn't...

  • @TalleyDallasTX Without standing next to each truck the world may never know.

H1 is stock on tires ~35" tall just for arguments sake. Not even suggesting that Hummer vehicles are good in any way.

  • @t4thfavor1212 Now I'm confusing H2 for H1, Above post means H2, as H1 is actually good, and not a GM piece of crap.

  • sweet! Nothing like saving $6 on a car wash!

  • @turfwerks1 six dollar car wash? sounds ghetto

  • @aaron1719 no man the $6 was by my house does a really good job.

  • fuck yeahhh

  • fuck yeah

  • Holy shiiiit! that was deep bro! Only in a Jeep OllllllO

  • @ScRoTe1992 thank you :) and I was wondering if it's ok to only drive jeeps on street only not off road at all

  • @motocross363 You can do it, but in my experience, it's no fun man. Jeeps are made to be built up. You won't be able to resist the wonders that lie where the pavement ends!

  • @MrNickRamirez oh haha I like the ending lol ... And thank you i still deriding on jeep or a dodge charger hahh

  • @motocross363 Well here's the thing, I've a 95 Jeep wrangler. I got it probably around a year ago. It's my first car. I LOVE it. Saving up all my money from working a crappy ass fast food job, I've lifted it and put tires on it. There's more to be added. If you want to drive Street only, I would recommend that Charger. A lot of the times, I find myself wishing I could drive faster when I'm on the street but the jeep just can't do that, but if you get a Jeep, you will probably not JUST drive

  • @motocross363 on the road. You'll find a spot that you can take it out and enjoy the heck out of it. There's a place I like to go to do some rock climbing. My jeep in the only place that can get to it. My friends trucks are too big and NO cars can even get half way to the spot. There is nothing like owning a Jeep man. It's more than just having a car. It's a lifestyle. "It's a Jeep thing."

  • kick ass

  • very nice

  • @rumorboyz hey no one will answe me I was hoping if u could answer a question ...does water go inside ur jeep going through water like this

  • @motocross363 yes it will

  • @motocross363

yes. a lot. especially if you go slow.

  • Nice video! I used to own a 1995 Pathfinder with just a ARB snorkel and my vent lines ran up higher and that thing would go through 4 feet of water all day long. Don't ask me how the fan or anything else for that matter didn't break, I don't know but it was a blast off-road and driving through deep flooded streets.

  • Hey, So what happens to your electronics doing this? Can you seal it up? Im going into my "sub" jeep project. I want the electronics to work. How fast do the seats dry up? Should i be wearin waters or something? ha

  • @offroad188 in a newer jeep you shouldnt have to worry about nothing like that.i took my 06 down a stretch of river that was just up to the fenders and my floors were still dry.

  • @robby844 its a tj

  • @offroad188 Generally nothing should happen if you get in and out of the water as quickly as possible so the water doesn't have time to intrude past connector seals. They're not totally waterproof, but a couple minutes' worth of submersion is fine.

  • i washed down my engine bay with some soap and water from a hose and blew a sensor...can only imagine what this would do.

  • Awesome!

  • Two words: Disposable income.

  • Haha we did this out at suburban estates and the water was about 3/4 of the way up the windshield with a 6 inch lift and 37's, it was pretty flooded that day and the worst damage we got was a burnt up fan clutch =)

  • Nice Jeep dude !! Veery Clean ;P

  • lol, it looked like it floated across

  • Thats the way to clean a jeep!!!

  • wish my malibu can do that lol

  • I like how the guy doubts him getting out. the guy cruises out like its nothing. Good video ,though.

  • FUKING nice

  • if i had a snorkel on my jeep i would do it to

  • Great Video!

Another group of boneheads advertising their stupidity.

Law enforcement and government decision makers just love these kinds of videos in order to justify their position on protecting wetlands, watersheds and associated ecosystems.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks again for the video.

  • damn i think ima wait till i get about 300,000 on my jeep b4 i try that

  • :O

    That's really deep

    good work man :)

    Only In A Jeep

    OlllllllO

  • damn lol!

  • oh how cool!! LOL a guy walks buy

  • Try that with your H2 or H3.....

    Jeep FTW..

    0IIII0

  • do you gett wet on the inside

  • not that deep.. i seen alot deeper the truck as fully under water

  • dude if you drove through that unexpectdly, youd shit your lil leopard g string you wear hahahah

  • ^^?^^

  • is the snorkel the only mod for that adventure?

  • Looks cold.

  • Love your video. My ARB Safari snorkel saved me a few times. It is also nice having Front and rear Lockers ! Again,Great Video

  • Nice water crossing best ive seen.

  • daaaaaaaaamn !

  • lmao!! i got a 2000 sportage, its a real good offroader for what it is... its been through hell and back and can go threw more mud and places then a z71 silverado and a dodge slt 4x4 but im glad to say im buying a wrangler this week!

  • See. It isn't a Land Cruiser, but this guy has two things right on the mark; Rubicon, snorkel. Awesome.

  • :O Dude, I wouldn't have tried that. You got a pair between your legs thats all I can say.

  • It's what they're built for :3

  • Haaa

  • you dont need balls.....you need or good insurance or big pocket.....

  • Sweet!!!

  • Awfully ballsy. Good job!

  • Kia sportage would make dat lol not

  • that takes balls i wouldnt do it to my jeep

  • @itsajeepthing20 Just takes a snorkel...don't try it without though...that's how I ended up needing a new motor. XD

  • where is this

  • love when he hawks a loogie!!

  • eww you get off when people hawk fat ones or what you sick fuck

  • gotta love lockers and snorkels, oh yeah and someone with enough balls to try that!

  • i didn't see his snorkel right away so i was like OMG. that was still amazing

  • automatic or manual?

  • manual

  • Awesome!

    ollllllo

  • I WOULDNT DO THAT IN MY JEEP

  • no big deal with a snorkal

  • thats what separates the men from the boys

  • Such an inspiring video. I'm definitely getting a jeep now. O|||||||O

  • whats beter wrangler or liberty?

  • wrangler if your going to do off roading, liberty if ya want to drive the highway

  • wrangler >>>>>>>> liberty no matter what

  • @zippypinhead11 are you kidding me?

  • Sweet rig.

  • I bet he walked back ...water in the distributor. If you don't seal the computers and distributors in the new POS trucks/jeeps they get one drop of water in them and you're screwed (well any truck really). I found that out the hard way.

  • that Jeep doesnt have a distributor. its a multi-coil ignition. theres 3 coil packs that control 2 cylinders each. the only thing id be worried about it sucking water into the engine. that exactly why the snorkel was there though.

  • I got a JK CRD, theres a thin that looks like ecu on right side...

  • where in Gordon was this.. is this out by snow shoe pa or grassflat pa? cause if so thats where i take my wrangler nothing like this though... i love your vid

  • i bet the inside is crap now, i dont think they have water tight doors do they

  • Yes they do lol or else i would get wet everytime i drive lol

  • the doors do let water in, if it didnt the whole damn car would float

  • its ok the inside is water proof and it has little valves in the floor when you clean the in side with water

  • yeah im telling you from personal experience the doors aree not water tight, but yoy are right about the plugs in the floor to drain the water out

  • I guess ultimately it takes a human to do that.

  • You are definitely a candidate to relocate your breather tubes even further up! haha

  • fucking douchebags recording. i bet he wont even fuckin make it to the other side. RUBICON AIR LOCKERS BITCH

  • lockers arnt what makes thta possible...learn more about jeeps before commenting

  • Really, please let me know why I was wrong you fucking moron. Air Lockers on Rubicons make it possible to do things that open differentials and limited slip won't do. Your an idiot if you think otherwise.

  • Did they get wet inside??? I dont know how good the door seals are.

  • Snorkel was the only thing done and nothing was harmed. It's not my rig but that thing was driven like it was stolen on a regular basis. Many many visits for warranty claims - he traded it on a new toyota about a year ago.

  • hey id like to start lifting my jeep and such for mudding and things like your doin. my buddy is getting sick of me using his truck. anyway there is a 6 cylinder engine in it do you think i should get something bigger or should it be fine

  • @meatloaf505 I have a 6 cylinder jeep grand cherokee and it does exceptionally well. we also got a jeep wrangler lifted and such and it only has the 4 cylinder and it still has plenty of power.

  • @njf128 For a Toyota?! IOW he sold his soul.

  • @njf128 so the dealer kept on fixing the broken stuff even though they knew the guy wheeled it and had a snorkel?

  • wow awesome vid! nice ride to

  • That was sick!!!!

  • is the snorkle the only thing you had to do to it to make it go through that water was ignition ok.

  • good thing he had the snorkel

  • holy fuck! that was nuts!

  • that was feakin sweet... (OIIIIIO)

  • dam dude

  • NICE
