1 of 3. Although it is true that some psychedelics can produce states resembling those of deep meditation, I found (years ago in my youth) that these also produce a fairly intense pressure on consciousness. This is because the nervous system is not yet sufficiently evolved by means of meditation to hold so much energy. Also a subtle fog is produced that enhances the mind's already hallucinatory tendencies.
2 0f 3. These together distort the state of consciousness, in much the same way that the picture of a landscape taken on a broad angle lens becomes distorted. With the psychedelic you are not actually expanding consciousness but forcing open the angle of the lens of consciousness to hold a broader/deeper experience. This does not make it bad or wrong, but does make it limited, and also creates dangers for the brain (especially as research is showing, in teens).
3 of 3. I would add as well that unless the experience gives you something transferable that you can take into your life or meditation, it is not very useful. Back in the day, I found only one such “medicine” that actually gave me something transferable to use in my meditation, and that was the mushroom experience. They showed me consciousness as identity (identity: that which open out) the opening out of emptiness as all this.
I agree w/ you 100%. The plants that are of the most value have been banned! Although like you say Alcohol is ruining lives! I'm a vegetarian and I love anything that's "All Natural" so when I hear other people my age on the same trip... Man, Keep this up!!
I agree with you 100%! I am a vegetarian and basically just love anything natural! The plants that have been banned are indeed very beneficial! Thank you for your time once again my friend.
great vid. although i disagree with "research needing to be done" by official agencies. we already know what they do and how "they" work, keep the sacred in the hands of the sacred, and out of the hands of agencies.
