Nishtwish did not only change its singer, but also changed style at the same time. I like both Tarja and Anette, but the old Nightwish was special to me: unique melodies and a unique singer, which made the whole band matchless,and could make me take a liking to this genre music. But now it's only average.

They DID tour the US and most of the world, the last US tour was in 2004. They were supposed to go back in 2005 but there were issues with the US record company and problems with the contractual arrangements.

It was Nightwish management who first postponed then cancelled the 2nd part of the US Once tour, not Tarja or Marcelo.

NW became more popular with the advent of YouTube, which didn't exist till 2005. Bringing Anette into the band had little to do with it, it was their past reputation that spurred the album sales, not a bunch of tweenie girls who like the new Miley Cyrus type vocals.

The band sounds like a mediocre cover band in live performances. In the studio they can fix the problems, but they still don't sound like NW.

WIth Anette, they pretty much suck.

Oh, as far as Tuomas, he and the rest of the band had agreed to share songwriting credit on their songs, which is what they did on Angels Fall First. He decided to switch that to him getting sole credit, without asking anyone, on Oceanborn.

Him and Emppu had a huge argument over it, it's in the NW book.

When I go to a concert, I want to see a concert, not a comedy act. I'll go to a comedy club to hear jokes, when I pay money to see a band perform live music, that's what I expect to get. NW not only used to do that well, but they also poured passion and energy into that music.
