1.) He wasn't underwater (Your opinion may vary whether that was difficult or not)

2.) HE DIDN'T HAVE ANGER STEROIDS

3.) He didn't have any charge attacks

5.) You can stop his rage mode

6.) You MIGHT be able to count rathalos as a flagship monster. He's a little easier...

Not sure what you mean by that. The game is new, I bought it off German Ebay (because I am German), the game's in Japanese and came directly from Japanese.

I think you can find it on Amazon as well and Play-Asia probably too.

@AnthonyLongboarding Well, if you have general knowledge of MH, it's pretty easy. Say I got a blue ore from mining, I can guess that it's machalite. A green ore could be dragonite. Also, some characters are used in more than one item. An example would be the character for claw. It looks like a claw and the item icon looks like a claw, so I know I got a claw. You can also use sites such as mhf3.com to help with translations.

@pyrogod67 If you do not plan on trading FU back in you can get it at the PSN store, but it takes up 700 mb for your memory card. I highly doubt MHP3 is going to come out to the US for the PSP so if you don't mind importing it, do it, there are good wiki pages that will help you out there also.

I find the bow to be the best solution to those heavily armored Wyverns that tend to deflect all your attacks otherwise, especially with the Piercing ability. Also IMO it's pretty much the only really good ranged weapon in solo play (Bowguns are too slow and unwieldy for my taste)

@TheButtonMash Don't beat him, you're not meant to be able to( it is possible), it's simply to show you a taste of the monsters later in the game just give it your best shot and try and learn his moves for when you face him later on (4 star urgent)

@killerxx00000 monster hunter freedom unite has 2nd generation monsters while MHP3rd has 3rd gen monsters + a couple from previous gens like tigrex and nargacuga. but second gen has a lot of different colours for the same monsters i think they wanted to limit that in 3rd gen so it the game wouldn't be repetitive. but thats only my opinion since i've only watched my friend play freedom unite while i only have Tri.

Hey social, great work on using the bow..although i'm not sure if you're aware, but you can roll whilst the bow is drawn using the square key, since the triangle is used to charge the bow...Just thought i should mention since i use the bow myself, and i try not to get hit often due to weak armors.

But nice job on the Jinouga..I totally hate hunting one with the kind of early-game armors and weapons i have now. >_<

Oh dude, one last thing I feel you should mention: In Unite the only way to evade with a bow was by pressing X. Now when you're charging you can use Square to evade which is awesome cuz obviously that's alot easier to hit with your thumb whilst holding down triangle than X was haha!!

You can't hop an infinite amount of times. It's based on your stamina like all evade animations. You also don't have a sword, you attack with an arrow lol

One of the reasons it's been taking you so long to put the Jinouga to sleep is that, one) every bow user knows that, even with the multipliers for charges, scatter, at almost any level is better then rapid or pierce for inflicting status effects, and two) you're trying to put him out while he's essentially in rage mode, which is a no no when it comes to trying to put a monster to sleep.

I was a bit nervous at first about trying out a bow. I had used it once before in unite and once in portable 3rd, and wasn't very good. I mean, a 170 power bow took 10 minutes to kill Aoshira? STUPID! But then, I realized what I was doing wrong: I was basically spamming nothing but the siege attack and had very few chances to attack, so I changed my strategy, got a full set of Tigrex armor with some spare Tigrex parts (yes, SPARE Tigrex parts; I fight him for fun a lot. Ehehe) and love the bow.
