From what I gathered, both The Simpsons: Hit and Run and Scarface: The world is yours were actually pretty good games and Road Rage was pretty fun too as a parody to Crazy Taxi. Prototype was also a pretty interesting game too. I don't think Radical Entretainment could do such quality games even if their lives depended on it.
Whoever told you that they made those 3 games is blind, deaf, lame, mute and dead, Jason. That'd be like LJN actually did a good game.
You listed a lot of bad games there. But I have to say that the Simpsons hit and run was FUCKING AWESOME. (If you'll pardon the expression/cruise control for cool usage.) Best GTA clone eva, and considerably better than the TV show for the last 10 years at least.
Not to get too into this, but he had been in two different explosions, had taken bullets, so like the T-1000, he took a shit load of abuse. I'm just sayin.
Well, Hollywood has always had an odd view of bullets and rockets. Although, I might actually have to give the nod to the movie. The energy available in a 25-ton hydraulic press is pretty impressive. Bullets don't deliver all that much energy; but they do it over a very small area. Armor works by forcing a bullet to deliver its energy over a wider area. Blah blah blah... besides, there's far worse plot holes to take aim at.
@thedragonb0y Jason explained it in the video, so I'm not gonna go too deep into that, but the thing is, if the Terminators are made of such powerful metal, it doesn't matter, they would still be able to resist the force. Pushing down a piece of paper on a piece of metal really hard doesn't bend the metal, since the metal is obviously stronger than the paper.
@thedragonb0y Okay, logic does not just mean the logic of OUR reality. If it's a story about a nearly indestructible robot, that's fine, that's the logic the story has established. It's a fantasy world with time travel and an apocalyptic future filled with Terminators. However, when that robot, who isn't killed by bullets, is killed by something weaker than bullets, that's just inconsistent writing that breaks the flow of the movie and, if you're like me, annoys the hell out of you.
@thedragonb0y There's making an unrealistic world, but then there's just being inconsistent. If I make a movie about regular everyday life, then just randomly throw in a magic robot from Mars that has squirrels for eyes. You can't just write it off as suspension of disbelief, because it just makes no sense in the established story and logic.
Nah, if you've seen his show b4 now, rants of that random nature are his norm, and, therefore, fit the show perfectly.
And though his YouTube username is "FearTheKat," his actual screenname is "LordKat." I'm guessing someone already took his name...possibly the LordKat of "Project XI" fame? (Project XI is an unoffical, open-source FFXI server.)
I like you FeartheKat but please don't do another movie rant. This video is suppose to be about you beating the game and showing how hard it is, not talking about plot holes in a movie.
you think the terminator would just walk through a military base..? but wouldnt that just give him more problems ?id assume military police attacking me would slow me down and possibly compromise my mission thats just what id want is a hellfire breathing down my neck while i was chasin somebody. , you need a military ID to get onto military bases-and if you break in,, well ,you could emagine what would result
Youre statement about the force of the bullets being stronger than the crushing machine is wrong. Ever heard about ''Every action has an equal and opposite reaction'' ? If it was as strong as the machine , when you'd shoot a gun you'd fly back.
I always figured the crusher machine was a constant force, as to the momentary impact of the bullets. My main issue with the movies was with the time loop.
So Kyle Reese was able to father John Connor because he went back to stop the Terminator, okay, that suggests a closed time loop. But in T2, Skynet was aware of the failure of the first Terminator sent back, so the time loop was not closed. Does that mean Kyle would have gone back even if a Terminator was not sent back, or he fathered
a different John Connor than there would have been, who also ended up being the leader of the human resistance. I know that time travel stories generally have these issues, but they are still annoying.
Actually Jackie Chan The Stuntmaster, was one of my childhood favorites *When it comes to Radical's other games*. Plain and simple platform hack 'em blast, but I enjoyed playing it.
Try to think of the difference between throwing a basketball against a wall and pressing it up against the wall. Obviously the basketball will be more damaged with applied pressure to a solid surface.
Would the bullets not fragment, dispersing their energy? The press it gets crushed in would pack a hell of a lot more force than a bullet, we're talking multiple tons of crushing force applied to its entire body all at once, compared to a bullet that would apply much less force to a much smaller area, and, depending on the bullet, would probably shatter on impact, which would hurt the fragile human parts, but leave the metal skeleton intact.
not to be a controdictory nerdy douche, but the ending of terminator 1 is relatively realistic. the same type of thing can be seen in the destruction of a "black box" as used in aircraft. they're made to withstand high temperatures and rediculously huge shot damage. however, shot damage resistant objects are almost always destructable by high powered compresion and a car crusher is the epitome of that. shock damage of bullets, all possible energy is expended at once. car crushers slowly release
I agree KaT. The Terminator series were fun to watch at times (I never saw them as a kid either) but ultimately not as amazing as everyone says. Thanks again for another great video!!
well, I suppose that bullets are too small, even if they were many hitting the endoskeleton. let's just say, if you got a metal plate thick enough that deflects most bullets and would take a considerable amount of fire-power and calibre to pierce, those little guns the police have wouldn't do much, a press on the other hand might be able to crush said metal, specially if it's hollow like the endoskeleton.
My biggest gripe was with the liquid metal terminator that needs more of belief suspension
@VoidKeeper my gripe with the liquid metal robot is really WHAT controls it, where's the computer inside it that is controlling everything. I remember watching an Anime ( I forget which) it had some of these robots, but apparently they had a small computer swimming inside the body, I don't remember if the Anime ones weren't also a big pile of nanorobots TBH, that as a bit more credibility, liquid metal really doesn't cut it with me.
But I do love the movies anyway, except 3... F that movie.
