Lol OK its OK to chill or for that matter to kill insects for macro work....there's more where they come from. The few that are killed are nothing to even consider. Damn people...bet you guys say Happy Holidays too...And have a holiday tree....lol
You guys talk about the use of a tripod while shooting macro, obviously you don't practice what you preach. Also, try using a 180 or 200 macro then you might not scare your subjects. Otherwise, OK video...
My girlfriend took a photo of a stinkbug and it sprayed acid onto her camera which left noticble burn marks on the body and lens! It was a cheap camera fortunately.
@LanternhouseVideos I (Connor) don't quite agree with this method either, but it is a widely used and tested method, however unfortunate it may be, so we went over it. Neither me nor Roman have ever chilled our subjects, but supposedly it is only meant to simulate the natural cooling that occurs over night. I'm sorry if we have upset you.
