Green Gorgan - This game had the Hoover Dam selected as the tutorial before New Vegas entered development. Either way, the Hoover Dam would, strategically, be an amazingly easy place to defend. Imagine three castles built inside of one another with modern day weapons and tech. You have the HD.

I'm a huge fallout fan, and im playing this game just because it is similar to fallout and it's an MMO. When fallout makes an mmo, then i'll proably switch to that!
hall-monitors = untouchable trolls (by preaching rules, mods can't do anything about it... even if doing it to harass and be a nuisance). Biggest accomplishment of FE = it somehow managed to roll the trolls, the snobs, and the ass-kissers all into one shape and form. Again, not ALL people in game are bad, but most, and the numbers are getting larger, and people are just sitting in waiting for the chance to be a douche. Sadly, the players have made this an over-rated douche-farm.

People only say that it's similar to Fallout because there are so few post-nuclear apocalypse games. There are a billion fantasy-based MMOs that are all basically "similar" to each other, but we don't blame them for that.
Think about it. How many games have a: fantasy setting, multiple races, classes, magic, swords and shields, armor, enchantments, goblins, kobolds, crafting items, castles, caves, dungeons, etc.
First off people need to read the old posts before they go posting all willy-nilly (this whole thread could be ten posts long) I understand it's similar to fallout. Second, why do we post things with no basis of fact? It doesnt take 72 or even 36 hours to craft a mount. My first couple have only taken under an hour (I think the first was 20 minutes)

Under all the textures and new-ish ideas for character development, crafting etc. it's still an one big grindfest. This game could've been something more, but instead trying to make something fresh and new, they just recycled the old tried out MMO style, only gave it a fallout theme.
Its an MMORPG. There has to be a balance between noobs and experienced folks. If its not your cup of tea, don't play it. If you want to see something done, get a degree in computer science and do a game yourself.
What I'm saying is, all that is being done has been done before. Why would anyone in their rights minds want to spend 16 hours of grinding to level up and get something new? Why not just say
"here is a big world, full of guns and clothes and stuff, and full of other people, go have fun"

I agree, a level-less system would be nice. What should change is your weapons, gear, item proficiencies, skills and skill proficiencies. Otherwise, the damage shield that high level characters get against low level characters makes it too comfortable to run around wiping out guys 40 levels under you.
I guess the best way to sum it up, I shouldent need to play the game full time and I shoulden't need a PHD in nerdonomics to play a MMORGP. Just make it fun, and really really big.

I got this game yesterday ands it is decent so far but not great. Aion in my opinion sucked, was cool at first but got insanely retarded at lvl 20. This game is all about crafting and will NOT hold your hand.
The graphics are kinda dated but for some reason demanding on the pc. It's a indie type of game so take it for what it is. Give it 7 out of 10 so far

ur not missing ANYTHING, believe me, its basically all crafting, which takes fking forever, (so basically u start it crafting something, and then the game makes u wait for 20mins, and then u get some crappy item, and start over...)

There is one reason why this game fails. Things I hope they fix in the coming days. GM's have a dick shoved so far up their ass that they actually CRY if you use "BAD LANGUAGE!" of course the natural response from the community once that was said in chat was, "FUCK YOU!" NPC's in the game CURSE! They even have a PROFANITY FILTER which contradicts the whole purpose of outlawing bad language. It'd be like if the government gave you free weed but arrested you when you rolled it up and smoked it.
it does not take 72 hours to craft a horse and you don't have to wait around for something to get done crafting. you can quest or kill or scavenge lots of shit to do.
my mistake, 36 hours, it takes 72 hours to craft a bike. and what happens when you cant do anything until you craft say, some ammo or something? then you get to wait an hour to play! yay!
If you run out of ammo and have zero melee skills youre a buffoon. Ammo in the beginning of the game only takes 8 min to craft not an hour (8 min for 80 ammo). And anyway you can queue up to 20 things to craft, log out and go annoy people with your ill-informed posts. Or even get something productive done... but why
i'm sorry, i just have something against a game where u log in only to queue crafting and then log off. im sure it may appeal to some, but it just isnt my thing :D

Fallout is a great game, don't get me wrong, it was my favorite single player RPG to come out and 3 did 1 & 2 great justice. That said, I can't wait to get back from my trip to try this game, been a while since I've been excited for an MMORPG. Fact is that the games are different and there aren't too many groundbreaking ideas that companies will invest money into creating an MMO, only similarity is the post-apocalyptic theme. Read or watch A Boy and His Dog and tell me what influenced Fallout.

What I'm saying is, all that is being done has been done before. Why would anyone in their rights minds want to spend 16 hours of grinding to level up and get something new? Why not just say
"here is a big world, full of guns and clothes and stuff, and full of other people, go have fun"

I agree, a level-less system would be nice. What should change is your weapons, gear, item proficiencies, skills and skill proficiencies. Otherwise, the damage shield that high level characters get against low level characters makes it too comfortable to run around wiping out guys 40 levels under you.

I got this game yesterday ands it is decent so far but not great. Aion in my opinion sucked, was cool at first but got insanely retarded at lvl 20. This game is all about crafting and will NOT hold your hand.
The graphics are kinda dated but for some reason demanding on the pc. It's a indie type of game so take it for what it is. Give it 7 out of 10 so far

so i was just about to go buy this and now i read that it won't play on integrated intel media cards. this is fucking bullshit and i don't understand why they couldn't actually make this for every gaming computer. unfortunately mine sucks i guess. i use gma x4500hd. i was told it was a good card. but i guess i won't play this game since i don't have the cash to buy a graphics card. just bought this computer to so i am pissed i wanted to play this game so bad.

ur not missing ANYTHING, believe me, its basically all crafting, which takes fking forever, (so basically u start it crafting something, and then the game makes u wait for 20mins, and then u get some crappy item, and start over...)

There is one reason why this game fails. Things I hope they fix in the coming days. GM's have a dick shoved so far up their ass that they actually CRY if you use "BAD LANGUAGE!" of course the natural response from the community once that was said in chat was, "FUCK YOU!" NPC's in the game CURSE! They even have a PROFANITY FILTER which contradicts the whole purpose of outlawing bad language. It'd be like if the government gave you free weed but arrested you when you rolled it up and smoked it.

it does not take 72 hours to craft a horse and you don't have to wait around for something to get done crafting. you can quest or kill or scavenge lots of shit to do.

my mistake, 36 hours, it takes 72 hours to craft a bike. and what happens when you cant do anything until you craft say, some ammo or something? then you get to wait an hour to play! yay!

If you run out of ammo and have zero melee skills youre a buffoon. Ammo in the beginning of the game only takes 8 min to craft not an hour (8 min for 80 ammo). And anyway you can queue up to 20 things to craft, log out and go annoy people with your ill-informed posts. Or even get something productive done... but why

Although as a GAME it was not that successful (low player count, etc...) It was a definite success as a business !

Fallout is a great game, don't get me wrong, it was my favorite single player RPG to come out and 3 did 1 & 2 great justice. That said, I can't wait to get back from my trip to try this game, been a while since I've been excited for an MMORPG. Fact is that the games are different and there aren't too many groundbreaking ideas that companies will invest money into creating an MMO, only similarity is the post-apocalyptic theme. Read or watch A Boy and His Dog and tell me what influenced Fallout.
