@Xirithrenegade sorry but there are a lot of similarities in terms of the fighting dynamics. Who is to say that ripoffs have to be limited to content? The whole mechanism is pretty much the exact same as in GoW and of course the way you get to ride some of those monsters (like cyclops in GoW) and how the buttons show up when a boss is dazed...

The story of Dante's Inferno is much more interesting to me. God of War is fun and all, but Dante's Inferno has a whole different vibe to it. I plan on getting Dante's Inferno after I finish GoW.
I have never been interested in Greek mythology, and that explain a good amount of why I don't like God of War quite as much. If anything, Roman mythology is much more interesting to me.

Dantes Inferno is a really good game but it will never be better than God Of War 3.Kratos is the ultimate warrior and his story is so well made that it keeps you stuck in front of your tv for hours....I finished it the day i bought it because i couldnt wait to see the end...im a greek guy and i can inform you that god of wars story,places,beasts,gods and everything are from the greek mythology and they are real. How can people think GOW is similar to dantes inferno in GOW you fight pegan gods and in dantes inferno you fight the cretures o he'll the only thing I see with the two connection would be how Dante fights the devil and Kratos fight ah his name again oh yea Hadies.
Dante Aleghiery was not a warrior of any sort in real life, and his journey to hell was not to rescue beatrice or anyone else but himself. Beatrice is never seen in hell at all, in fact she spends the entire poem in Heaven. She asks Virgil to guide Dante through hell because she is too pure to step foot there. P.S are we really debating who would win in a fight?!!!! you should go straight to the ninth circle
even if the gameplay is very similar to gow, isn't that a good thing? I mean gow is amazing so shouldn't we all be excited about a fresh story and character with the same badass gameplay? Also, there is alot of debate about storylines and such. Both GOW an this game are influenced by real literature, but neither is very accurate in regard to the elements they borrow from. For example Dante's Inferno only uses the poet's structure of hell, the rest of the plot is 100% fabricated.
The game is very good and every bit as enjoyable as GoW III, but I'm ready to trade it after going through the whole game twice. That's why games are so fleeting and temporary. The only games I want to keep are Red Dead Redemption and Ass Creed II; maybe Borderlands as well.

dantes inferno is a mix of christian and greek religon because there is things from both of each like the game itself is from christian books while as the monsters themselves(charon ceberus and shit like that) r from greek mythology

Dante Aleghiery was not a warrior of any sort in real life, and his journey to hell was not to rescue beatrice or anyone else but himself. Beatrice is never seen in hell at all, in fact she spends the entire poem in Heaven. She asks Virgil to guide Dante through hell because she is too pure to step foot there. P.S are we really debating who would win in a fight?!!!! you should go straight to the ninth circle

even if the gameplay is very similar to gow, isn't that a good thing? I mean gow is amazing so shouldn't we all be excited about a fresh story and character with the same badass gameplay? Also, there is alot of debate about storylines and such. Both GOW an this game are influenced by real literature, but neither is very accurate in regard to the elements they borrow from. For example Dante's Inferno only uses the poet's structure of hell, the rest of the plot is 100% fabricated.

The game is very good and every bit as enjoyable as GoW III, but I'm ready to trade it after going through the whole game twice. That's why games are so fleeting and temporary. The only games I want to keep are Red Dead Redemption and Ass Creed II; maybe Borderlands as well.

All i'm saying is that people shouldn't be so upset that this game is similar to the God of war series, i mean heck, the guys who made GOW helped out with this one (which explains the similarities) So if anything its like a new spin on similar gameplay.
