That reddot looks bad on the G36, I wouldn't put any open reddot on G36s. I have a nice closed one on mine - less sunrise effect, less chance to have broken lenses, and looks much better I think

easy to remember:

2 holes in the handgrip short flash hider= g36c

4 holes long flash hider = g36k

6 holes short flash hider = g36 (e for import version)

the built in optics have a 2.5-3 times zoom depending on the manufacturer. A larger read dot ton the outside provides a faster close range alternative to the built in optics.
