Snipers that use quad legs are very inneffective. Lots of firepower yes, but slow moving and a BIG target for other snipers. Plus most have open cockpits. And are slow turning... you get the idea lol. xD

Depends on the specific legs. The Sal Kar ones move quickly in straight lines and turn ok but rotate slowly. The Tarakian legs are slower but they rotate relatively quickly. The Morskoj legs are slow all around but carry a whole lot of weight with stability. In the end though any inverse or tread dramatically out performs quads on all counts but stability and snipers don't really need that much to shoot well.

I'd say it pretty much ranks as one of the most devastating sniper hounds.... in freebattle. In real play (ie war) you have to have the extended ammo on Sabres to make them useable and then they weigh as much as an SC200. Which then begs the question - why not just use an SC200?

Honestly if your a good enough shot, Sabres will save you time and aggravation, however, SC200s are much more practical...

I'm not fond of sabres in war - too fragile and not really enough ammo for longer games. They're fine for free battle though.

is there something about naqas im missing. I've been tarakia for 2 wars and morsk for 2. and never got to go to sal kar, they're in ruins right now which makes it a pain to get there and get anything nice.

Is there a good set of legs i can use, besides naqas?... or is it solely on stability and max weight.. I'd like to be able to make a walker without being forced to use naqa.s

Naqa's are pretty much the defacto standard for inverse. Just take a look at the stats and how hard to hit they are. It's pretty clear why they're popular.

I have a question about the parts arrangement, why not place the cockpit on the legs, then put the spacer afterwards? On this hound you put the spacer first, which causes almost the entire hound to hang off the back. If you put the cockpit first then the guns are closer to the hound's z-axis and recoil should be reduced, correct? Well either way I think it looks better with the pivot point centered under the cockpit.

I'd need to test it out (I don't have my xbox right now) but I believe there was a problem with having it shifted forward like that. I believe the Sabres do not sit properly like that.

I'm not sure how much more or less recoil you'd have mounting it forward and since this hound uses wings you in a way WANT more recoil to make sure the wing moves correctly.

Meh, I'm not one for aesthetics on my hounds as the drab green paint jobs show.

you went way to fast for me to get some things. i want to build this one but its just to fast :( until you post a new one i have to deal with the orginall sin just with sabers instead of epees

actulley i tweaked it a bit.

instead of using 5 sabers i used 3 with 4 grenades!

so i have 3 deadly snipers that kill anything at range a fast hound and 4 grenades for close combat

Why are all your snipers rotated towards your legs? On Sinner you had them pointing out..I can't figure out how to rotate all the different weapons=( that's why I'm asking =P

I've been revising my weapon rotations lately in order to more tightly group the shots. In the case of Sinner the SC200s have less recoil so rotated outward they still yield a good shot. Here though the Sabres have too much recoil so they tend to fan out horizontally if rotated outward. Rotated inward they yield a good quality shot. I'm going to be posting a newer version of Sinner that combines the popular DP sniper with Sinner's versatility.

i agree with you to a point. it is a good sign but sometimes the host just dosent want 6 people running grenade whores.

Nade heavy matches aren't too bad if you've got howies and some range to work with. Naders don't like having to advance against heavy guns. Personally I hate heat seeker heavy matches. Go watch my SOL-Diablo video and see just what an all heat seeker match is like... bleh!

It only makes sense to try to take advantage of some of the special rules in free battle. Some will cry foul - but that's because they didnt take advantage of free battle and are dead now ^^
