  • First, today is January 8, 2012. Mr. Bowie is 65 today. Here in The USA, he can now retire. Now, I loved this tune; That stated, his 1987 album"Never Let Me Down" should have been more organized like "Lets Dance" was. Moreover, had The Glass Spider been more organized like Serious moonlight was in 1983, that tour would have been better recieved. FYI, I got bit in 1987 by The Glass Spider, and I haven't recovered from the venom since. Happy Birthday, Mr. Bowie!

  • 5:00 what are those guitars called? or do they even have a special name? XD lol i want to get one :)

  • they see me rollin'... they hatin...

  • When you've covered as many genres and styles, and written so many different songs as david it's hard to stay on top. but he's managed to play the game and consistently produce excellent stuff more than anyone else. I hate some of his stuff, but he is still the Fucking best!

  • The video and the music compliment each other great - this may be a different time period (as some suggest), but the message in the video is really clear. It may even represent the times today more so than before... I like the many sides of Bowie, as his music endures the times....

  • Triangle under his left eye...Not a good sign.

  • @npahomsky tear drop...

  • 3:49

    Chuck Berry ?

  • No David Bowie !!!!

    No !

    This is Bryan Adams !!

  • @bluemoonshinya Sorry but this is David Bowie if bryan Adams Wrote this he

would be kicked out of Canada,Even at his worst this albums still ok its a Different Period for Bowie

  • Worst David's album: I prefer to listen to any other of his production rather than this.

  • somebody get Rihanna's face out of this David Bowie's video, for crying out loud!! this is about music, not about showing skin to sell records!

  • This song is shockingly bad. Where is the melody?

  • lol i like bowie's look. do you think billy idol got mad? lol

  • David's last top 40 hit in the US. He hit #21 in Billboard, 5-23-87. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great week!

  • I love the way David Bowie skates thru this video....Cool video and a great song too! Thanks for posting this one.

  • wie kan je tegenwoordig vertrouwen je word besodemieterd waar je by staat vooral met youtube iedereen geeft zich uit hem haar bevalt daarom met we stop ik persoonlyke commants tenzy je proves niet of wel typen jy dus

  • bowie = sexy

  • Bowie, Y U so sexy?!?!?

  • Man this is bleak.

  • David Is Beyond Beautiful In This Video!!

  • LMAO Bowie looks exactly like Daryl Hall in this!!!!

  • David's too cool to walk, he rolls!

  • Nothing that a genius like Bowie does can be really bad. And i think this is quite a nice song and a good video.

  • by far not one of david bowie's best works, but the best stuff done in the late 80s, isn't it?

  • Not one of his best songs, but still more memorable than much of today's nonsense! Nicely produced video, too.

  • people are too quick to dismiss bowies 80,s stuff, at the time it was great compared to phil collins, rod, elton.etc. I even think it stood up pretty well against prince, duran, madonna etc. glass spider tour looks cheesy now but back in 87 it was cutting edge. if you compile a bowie 80s top20 against a bowie 90s top 20.......no contest..80s win.

  • Just saw this on Cool TV, pretty much an awful song.

  • The album, "Never Let Me Down' never lived up the excellence of "Let's Dance" and that's a pity. Moreover, on august 14, 1987, when Mr. Bowie brought his Glass Spider to Portland, we had to defend him from the rogue critics for it's apparent lack of structure. As for the tune, it's NOT bad, contrary to what the critics believed back then. Oh well, can't win them all.

  • This Song Freaking RULES!!! :D

  • That's was one of the latest big hits by David Bowie, the song made it the # 17 in the U.K list and the # 21 on the Billboard Charts early in 1987.

Thank you EMI-VEVO for upload the video in H.Q.

  • This was directed by Julien Temple - before he got very famous.

  • This video is soooo underrated!

  • Hmm.... I really liked this stuff, as 'Jump they say', 'Never let me down' etc ... but I like it when creatives try to go mainstream... This was up against Kylie Minogue, Bros, NKOTB - compare it to that shit and its miles ahead...

  • Never let me Down was a massive let down. i love bowie btw.

  • Il più brutto disco di Bowie. Ma lo perdono...

    :-D

  • Hmm, so commercial and unexciting by Bowie standards. He even lambasted the LP Never Let Me Down in later years and he's right. It's his worst record. Even Tin Machine was better for sure.

  • I have to ask. Why do some Youtube users disable embedding? Embedding does not reduce hits. Views of embedded vids still count toward the total number of hits. I just don't see any logical reason to disable embedding, regardless of whether or not the content belongs to the poster.

  • complete load of shit

  • 2:18?

  • This vid reminds me "Ghostbusters" I don't know why. It's very 80s (music, fashion, clothing, hair-style). Old stuff

  • What was with the ending? I'm confused....

  • im sure that video film taken in LA

  • On his rollerblades :P

  • Saw the Glass Spider tour in 1987 (Meadowlands NJ) - amazing. Squeeze was the opening act, Peter Frampton was on lead guitar. Serious moonlight overhead, too!

  • I love how Bowie always manages to throw in a little bit of that glamorous makeup, that little teardrop on his cheek gets me every time. And that greaser look he's got, damn he really knows how to rock a style.

  • Damn, was downtown NY really that f'ed up back in the day?

  • 5:00 BEAUTIFUL guitar....only a few of those made...expensive as all get out...but such a nice pure, clean sound...

  • I think this is the best video ever made. Noone does story like this.

  • Good old retro for all those people who belive that the 2000's suck ass.

  • @cartoonfan29 right

  • @cartoonfan29 The 2000's waaaay Suck Ass!!!

  • @cartoonfan29 Sorry bro no, I'm to busy listening to rap.

  • Ridiculously sexy...

  • PLEASE! Music has to be shared! stop "disactiving" videos!!! it's really really stupid!

  • @kenchidokan Put ya Dummy back in

  • I LOVE YOU DAVID BOWIE!!!!!!

  • actually more realistic than most gangsta bling rap glam

  • I love bowie but the 80s just weren't aweasome.....It's okay...my opinion.....I love his 60-70s work A LOT

  • i totally agree with everything you say, but from the eighties....simple minds was good.... and i like your name... roxydowie!

i think there is a connection between roxy music and roxydowie?

  • yeah but someone already had roxybowie so....i just managed..i do like some of his 80s stuff like China Girl... I dunno maybe it was because of Mick Ronson that Bowie's stuff was better, come two genius minds put together....everything else becomes second best. But you're right simple minds was pretty cool..

  • bowie is seriously twisted but he thinks outside the box which takes effort..everybody is so stuck these days,.

  • wow it's so different from his other work..
