@SuperSneakySniper I'm 12, and I have to say, the Saiga is pretty accurate. I mean yes it throws me around a little bit because I'm small, but even then I can get some decent groupings when I actually try. You are most likely an adult, and given you have knowledge and experience, I'd say you can get some good accurate shots with a Saiga. Now I haven't shot a Mini 14, but I heard it's more accurate than the Saiga, and of course lighter.

@TheKittenish Hey man ty for your input. No i'm not an adult tho lol. I'm 17, and I actually also started looking at the KEL-TEC SU16CA instead. Altho I may have gripes about its reliability, everything else looks great. It can take AR-15 mags, built in rail for optics, a cheesy built it bipod (I aint gunna use the bipod lol), it costs about 550$ and it can fold in half. Altho, i'm still a tiny bit torn betyween saiga and kel-tec now :c

@SuperSneakySniper Woah, that's an interesting rifle! If it can fit AR-15 mags, then that's a point up. But what are you shooting for? Just the recoil fun or are you trying to go for accurate shots? Because if you are trying to go for accuracy, an AK is really not suitable. You should try renting the fire arms you want first. Or borrowing it from a friend. Try to find the guns and compare them before you spend $600 ;)

@TheKittenish Well, I want a dependable gun, so I know the Saiga would be agreat rifle for that. But I'd also like a rifle that is light, can mount optics and use cheap mags. I REALLY wish the saiga mags were cheaper, looks like they're about 30$ a piece. I've shot an SKS and a Cali legal AK before, but never a saiga, tho I imagine them similair. Kel tecs are harder to find becuase they're a pretty new gun, and people can get turne off from the high amounts of plastic it wears.

Dependable gun: Yes. Light: Hell no, weighs about 8 pounds, and is a pain to carry around (Keep in mind I'm 12). Mounting optics: Yeah if you put on some rails. Cheap magazines: Nope, I guess they're $30.

Dependable gun: I suppose, but I doubt it's dependable as an AK47. Light: Yup, weighs 5.5 pounds. Mounting Optics: A Kel Tec SU-16 comes with rails. Cheap Magazines: Compared to the Saiga, yes. About $9-20.

You can buy one at arms of america for 349.00 Try getting an AR any AR for that. If you want to shoot .223 this looks like the best deal by far. Mini14 is like 650. Most ARs are 700+.

@Johnthepyro1 what are you using it for? If you live in a Suburban or City environment, do you like more power or quicker follow up shots, are on a budget; get the .223. If you prefer more power and live where stray bullets wont be as likely to go through homes and prefer power than get the 7.62. Both are lethal, both are proven, and both have served well. @Johnthepyro1 Hands down what you are looking for is .223! Most common, or military uses it and it is more popular as a hunting round. Invented here in the US my man. You dont want a 7.62 in cities. Actually their was a show where a murder took place. A man was shot by an AK from 35 yards away, it went through him, his car, his home, his neighbors home, and exited out and fell from the house 2 down from his into a car. AND NO I KID YOU NOT! I'd opt for a 16.5" or 18" barrel. Enjoy my friend!

The days of $180-$250 are gone for this rifle, the cheapest I was able to find online was from ArmsofAmerica for $329.00 for the 20inch or $349.00 for the 16in .223 which is still an awesome price for this weapon. Very accurate, durable & with some basic mods you can have your very own AK. The reason why it was made into a hunting rifle design was so that it could be California legal.

@PHATMATT016 this gun is very reliable but it does come with a sportster stock because it is mainly for taking out hogs in my family and theonly bad part about this gun is the clip is terrible quality but u can get a 20 rd for like 30 bucks but i got mine for 10 bucks by winning a raffle. its AMAZING
