  • cyclic rate of fire for FG42= 750 rpm, MG42= 12-1400 rpm, MG34= 800-900 rpm

  • whats band of bruders?

  • I think this weapon was in the episode with Carentan or so.

  • if the black people right next to all our asses can't take criticism to protect our ass or back off to prove they aint doing this to our ass they got no business being next to our asses. period.

  • ive always liked the type 1 better.

  • man this ugy probably got ripped off probably no paper work on it being in the film also :/

  • I remember the Fallschirmjagers in episode 3 but I don't remember seeing an FG42.

  • I don't remember seeing the FG in BoB.....

  • cool thanks so much for sharing!

  • that was an awesome show.

  • I'll be looking out for rubber guns all the time next time I watch that series.

  • That would be awesome to own. I bet if a company started pumping out those rubber prop guns out to sell to collectors they would sell like hot cakes. Probably some kind of legal issue keeping them from doing it maybe... I'd love to have that one along with an MG42, an STG44, and an MP40. They'd be cool to hang on your wall.

  • in my opinion the older weapons in time are way cooler than the newer ones... but people today forget the classics that make guns fun :D

  • mein gott!erstklasse mann,du weiss viele um waffen und mehr.will nixt mehr schreiben.du hast talent.diesen FG42.SPECIAL NEVER HEARD ABOUT IT BEFORE.GRUSSE

  • real fg42s are extremmly rare. even during the war the germans didnt issue them in very large numbers.

  • @scipio558 Only to Luftwarffe Para's - I will go out on a limb and say only around 7000 were made. A minute amount to a country at war.

  • looks like the paratrooper rifle from return to castle wolfenstein video game

  • he says what its in shit head

  • how did you get it if you dont mind me asking ?

  • just happened to be going through "tigercollectables" on line list, and found it there..i asked him to send me a few pictures..then bought it.

  • nice conversation piece!

  • i like your watch

  • thanks...its a German Aeromatic 1912 Chronograph.

  • cool

  • @2491tj theres a high powered rifle in the video and you like his watch? you are fasinating

  • Nice Bren gun clip on the barrel!

  • nope...its a standard pattern MG34/42 leather sling with original metalwork, what youre taking to be a Bren clip is an original German clip..when compared to the similar Bren clip, the German one is better made with straight angular edges, whereas the bren one, when compared side by side, has more rounded and less angular edges, its also poorly made by comparison.

  • the FG42 and Bren have nothing alike, except a clip on the side really

the Bren was a piece of shit UK weapon that the Allies realized failed really quick

the FG42 was a piece of art!, held a 8mm Mauser round, and the paratroops that used em... would TARE SHIT UP!!

but the Bren and its 9mm ammo... proved to be NO match against the Germans MP40's (which also took 9mm, but was better engineered)

the nazis invented most of the technology we have today, from nightvision to jets

    the UK = failed

  • HNNNNNNGH HOW DID YOU GET THIS?! I really love the series, and thanks for showing this!

  • i want this weapon in 50bmg

  • lol why? So you'd fall over?

  • no so you coud have a sniper when you need light suport

and can have it as an automatic gun mounted when you need that

  • That'd actually be pretty cool. I think I heard about some guy who used an M2 in vietnam like that. He added a scope to it and fired only one shot at a time.

  • have you ever seeing the vid of the soldier that try to care a 12.7mm hmg(i think kord)here on youtube

make a thing like that and somewhat lighter(17 kilo or less and it coud be a highly transportable machinegun

if the armys can already have a verry light 50bmg sniper rifle whit 0.5 moa(british as 50 and whit mach graded amunition though)then it coud be posible

  • I actually think I have seen that video. It would be very interesting to see a combination weapon system like that.

  • @gsm1091 yep

it woud almost be one of a kind if you make it now

  • nice man. sounds like you've had a few years around guns.

  • about 30 years.

  • that weapon is sick

  • UPDATE..i have since sourced a genuine FG42 bayonet with low serial number, ex-Dodds collection of famous bayonets..i will do another video showing how bayonet fits to gun.

  • is there a different color for where the wooden parts are, or is it just the camera

  • the "wooden" parts are painted brown over the gunmetal colour of the casting..it was cast in 1 piece in a gun colour, then highlighted in brown and silver in places.

  • in which episode can i see the FG 42, i never saw one

  • The final battle at the end of the carentan episode. If u look closely you can see an fg42.

  • if you'd paid attention, you'd have heard that it was seen in Episode 3

  • Paris Museum de army the have model 1 ad 2

  • @Hohenstaufen90 He said episode 3

  • @Hohenstaufen90

I was wondering the same thing...

    Does anyone know?

  • @Hohenstaufen90

He says that it is in episode 3.....

That would be carentan which make sense as the German Paratroopers were on defense in that episode.

  • @Hohenstaufen90 he said the battle scene in episode 3

  • I also wanted to tell you that if you look up armietiro on youtube, this poster has a shooting example of an FG42 and if you watch the second video with the 20 shot magazine being emptied on full auto, the bayonet issue you speak of becomes apparent. HTH

  • I really enjoy your comments on these older weapons.

Come to the USA someday and we will let you shoot some real ones!

  • love ur work man!

  • such a bullpup rifle isn't

  • roober prop LOL

  • its band of brothers

    not b-an of brothers lol

    just kidding love ya review!

  • ban of bruthers LOL

  • I also bought one of the 20 rubber prop FG42's.

There were 3 of them for sale in an army shop in Sainte-mere-Eglise, Normandy.

  • realy, which one i was there a couple weeks ago i noticed every other shopwas a military shop. did you see the museum by the way

  • Comment removed

  • I love your accent ! :D

  • nice. i'm only thirteen but i have a massive wwii collection. I could use some tips on collecting though. If any one could help that would be great

  • That is amazing, thanks for sharing, i always wanted to know where the weapons from bob went after production. Ur lucky to have one. i just bought myself a full metal and wood repro Fg42, its on my vids if u want to see it.

    Anyway thanks for posting 5*****

  • had a look at your vids....excellent..i have a complete Fallschirmjager uniform set up..ill post a vid...when i replace broken camera!!.

  • The vid of the Fallschirmjaeger kit i have up on my account now doesnt show the full spec para boots i just bought, or the original k98 bayonet. ive also just bought a sling and bandoliers for the fg42.

  • Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece. Although you say it's made of rubber, it looks even more real when parts of it looks shiny in certain spots.

  • where did u get it from ????? (i@m a big fan of band of brothers !!!!!)

  • uk based "Tiger Collectibles" he advertises on line..originally it was on display behind his stall at Bolton military fair..no one would ask the price as they all thought it was real!!..i bought it from his on line list.

  • Thank you for your very quick response to my questions, I will look up the web sites you suggested. I was interested in ww2 germen officer uniforms. My better/other half my not approve of its purchase.

  • Very interesting, where could I get replica German uniforms and weapons and about how much would they cost, thanks.

  • difficult to say re the replica weapons..over in Ireland youre probably under the same stupid law as we are in the UK when it comes to buying replica weapons..in UK to buy a repro weapon you have to be a member of a club to have one in authentic colours..if not then you get them resprayed in a stupid overall yellow or pink "non threatning" colour scheme..which destroys the weapon..result..in UK replica weapons sales have reduced drastically..no one wants them..

  • as for uniforms look to either e bay uk or the uk dealer Soldier of Fortune....they do an excellent British /US/German re enactor catalog..you can get everything from them....they are either on the net, or in Gun Mart magasine.

  • i dont know the situation where youre at but if theres any militaria fairs in your area, its worth attending them, as sometimes replica weapons turn up at these events, sometimes people take them to part exchange or swap for other items...als look at the milweb site..although prices on milweb are expensive....ive bought nothing from them...sometimes i deal with World Wide Arms Ltd and Ryton Arms for deacs..or just find them at shows...

  • also bear in mind the current recession..at the moment there are lots of unsold deacs in the UK and stockpiles of "old spec" deacs which dealers thought they were going to sit on and make a profit with..the recession this year could see some bargains to be had. medals wont be affected....putting money in medals is better than having it in the bank...but prices on other items should start coming down, save your money and see whats available in the middle of the year.
