you truly had to have lived in this era cos there is not to many people that have heard this great album this too is one of the good songs that my brother truly dug in the 70,s i really dig it too!!!
I love that song... still. I was yelling TWISTED! TWISTED! for the encore at Steppenwolfs Valley Forge Music Fair concert, (197?) but it didn't happen. I think I got a smile from John Kay, but they played something more popular. Valley Forge was a round, 3000 capacity venue with a rotating stage in which every seat was a good seat. Too bad it's gone.
i thanks man.like espically the vietnam war.i love the song america damn this album is like it was back then.and is still true.great posting and great sound quality
You're welcome Gazza ☺ Can't feel the raised wolf on my copy? I do have a slightly 'textured' copy of Rest In Peace, where a studio version of this appears. (It's not the proper fully textured cover that I originally had though). Got ripped off online on that one...ggrrrrr...
We listened to this albim over and over again and again bucause it was te only album any of us had at the time. But this has some of John Kay's best music on it.
great track from US best band EVER !!!!!

I traded Meat Loaf Bat out of hell for this album in 77'. I don't even feel bad about to this day. One of my favorites.

A wise trade indeed ☺

saw 'em in '69 or so, and they were an incredibly tight band, they'd been rehearsin' or somethin' — AWE - F*ING - SOME!

Yea....incredible alright! I got to three of their UK gigs, early '70's. "The Best Of Steppenwolf" album really is a misnomer, init : D
~ "Steppenwolf - Live -" is the best of Steppenwolf ~ ☺
