Sounds great! Now I want to play a real vintage 62 or 63 Strat but I am in an area that has absolutely zero good guitar stores. The closest one I can think of is like 34 miles away and they don't have any vintage guitars :/
It seems like new pickups are a tad brighter, and not as fat sounding as the old ones, but in some ways that can be a good thing:) I have some fat 50`s on a strat, that sounds nice on some amps. It`s all on the combination between guitar and amps ;) Some works, some don`t.
,@taifun73 i was able to play a 63 strat of a local retired pro. and it was bet up and all the nice stuff that ands to an old strat, the neck pick ups on those thing are amazing. great tone and and great chops
Cool old guitar. Im not a fender fan tho. How u like the diezel for bedroom playing? 180 watts is a lot :D Nice smooth playing. I dont know if this is the perfect amp for sounds like this. A vintage marshall would be better imho, no offence.
my guitar looks identical to yours, but on the headstock i see E9. Does that mean it's a reissue? the truss rod is also only adjustable from the heal of the neck.
you're right about the tone. these are just as good as the originals. fender reproduces these meticulously and theres no reason to spend an obscene amount of money on an old and ureliable instrument when you can have a brand new one that will last a lifetime and sound just as good.
hey! NIce cover! i jest have 1 question. whats the max distortion that geetar can take(ie hedrix level, black sabbath level, etc)? im not a shredder or metalhead, just curious.
I see a rack in the back, what is in it? how does this amp compare to the Diezel Einstein? oh, and 1 more thing, you are the best I have seen in YouTube!! I have been playing for 8 months; hopefully I will play like you someday...
I`ve been playing sice i was 13 years. I have mostly played country picking, but these last 4 years I`ve been doing almost every kind of sty.les. Heavy, blues, pop, little jazz.etc.
I love 62 originals, but they are SOO expensive I'll prob get one by the time I'm 50 or smth xD

Semi dirty, sloppy stratsound,,,,,JUST the way it should be. Great sound.
Even your alternate version of "Little wing" you getting away with due to the sound.
And ofcourse, Olympic white/rosewood/mintgreen THATS the strat that will be remembered.

Ooooooohhhhhh.....The Herbert preformed unexpectedly in this vid. :D You just swayed my buy. I'm definitely getting a Herbert instead of a VH4.

I really enjoy your style. I find it very fluent. Hah! It seems as you will always have something cool to play.
Congratulations.
The tone is amazing as well. I've been thinking a lot about the Fender 1962 pickups.

dacuriel 3 years ago
This is NOT a reissue.I´ts a orginal vintage Pre cbs -62.
My best strat ever. I have a -63 too, but this one is the best.
The -63 has a darker sound! So it is a more blues strat.

how much was that strat
it sounds great
Bwoods612 3 years ago
On ebay, old vintage fenders cost from 15 to 30 000 $.
I guess this one is worth around 20 K.
Very nice guitar.
I maybe do a cut with my -63 as well one day on a
marshall bluesbreaker, or a Bruno amp.
