Steve Gillis is one of the best drummers out there, playing since the age of five. Richard Patrick writes the drum parts and about 40% of the drums you hear is a drum machine or has been edited on pro tools or logic. He is an amazing drummer if you watch him live playing in Chicago. Peace

I agree with you 100%. However, I have been a Filter fan since the beginning and I really like Matt Walker when he was with Filter. Check out the live version of Stuck in Here. I have seen Gillis as well and he is an animal in his own right. I think he is even a tighter drummer than Walker, but not as much power.

i think their drummer is great, their music has a very hard edge to it and if yer looking for some more complex drumming it just reduces the resonance of that..hes got great power and it fits the song, i dont need some showoff playing 64th notes or something to impress me
