He cheated. If you go to main menu after a failure and re-enter, it gives you another shot. Don't take the "try again" option. So just do a few failures breaking everything to know the layout, make a diagram and work it all out at leisure away from the computer.

FYI, you can copy & back-up the userdata folder anywhere you are in game when you exit. This is like saving it, which you can load by overwriting the old files.

If you save it when the vases have been set, it'll be the same setup when you load em (already knowing what's in em).

I saved my data so I could start at level 30/40/50 without running through the first boring levels. I saved em before the new vases were set so I would never know what's in them... just sharing this info :P

How could you have knocked out the whole bottom row like that? With eight gargantuars odds are good that any one row has at least one of them. I guess I just don't understand how you can get to level 100 with such reckless clicking.

@Scurvebeard Actually, I regard that as a very good strategy. Not to knock out all of the vases, but it's perfectly safe to keep cracking away at the row until you run into a zombie. If you do get a zombie, stop cracking them open and set up your defense. If you don't get one then don't waste your plants on that row.

If you have an old version of Fraps, you can run fraps in the background and it will slow down the game so that everything moves at about half the speed as normal. This gives you time to think about what you are doing. I'm not sure if this is how bensmall74 cheated but definitely he has too much sun for level 100.
