This is just awesome, Well done guys in Oz. The Cobra guy made me role around the floor. LOL. 500HP is a fair whack in anyones language. A cobra would weight almost 2.5 to 3 times more, than this CF exige, therefore it would need at least more than 2.5 times the HP! So lets say 1250HP, plus the cobra would have more interia to move off the line due to it's weight. Making any engine develop that HP, costs. It not about cubes, it about hp/ per kilo/lbs ratio.

it all depends how it is made. Most of the carbon for import cars such as ViS and seibon products are crap!! They are 90% fiberglass and resin and open molded. WEll made preg parts can withstand a lot

How much is the weight of the engine and how many hours are needed between rebuilds if you dont mind my asking? The engine must have some serious reinforcement to handle 550Hp in 1.9ltr!

There are powertec race engines weighing only 88kg that put out 450 that can be put in the Exige but they are NA and rev to over 10k so they only last 50hrs between rebuild on the road which is useless for me.

There's at least a couple of extra full carbon cars based in Sydney, supercharged 2l.....made in Kingsgrove, at least one other person in the far west, has the molds to do same. If it's an autoclave job, that would be rather unique though.
