  • excelente version

  • this is not the version with van morrison singing, after he left the band they still played for many years, but release nothing of note, unfortunely

  • A great version, but this is NOT the original! It's an old blues song from the 30's!

  • Make you walk the plank! h-bar

  • Didn't they do a version of this song with van morrison ?

  • Without Van around, they sure sound a hell of a lot like Taste. This is pretty hot, but a bit generic by 1971.

  • why is it so hard to find the Van Morrison original? everyone's doing covers or I only get results from THEM.....

  • @mitochondrion7 "the Van Morrison original?" Sorry to burst your bubble, it's not original to Van Morrison, even though his version is probably the most recognized.

  • @mitochondrion7 This is Big Joe William's song from the 1930's. THEM was Van Morrison's group in the middle 60's, although he was long gone by the time of this cover.

  • @mitochondrion7

Because Van Morrison was the lead singer of Them

  • remade my Aerosmith a few years ago

  • budgie have the same one and is fantastic too

  • i gotta tell ya....the 60's produced alot of bad mother fucking white boys in rock and roll......pure attitude. them.

  • Ugly version

  • Jimi page plyed rythem guitar on this I hear

  • if you love this then you just gotta check out louie louie by the swamp rats believe it`s gonna rock your fuckin world !!

  • I think they do the best version of the song. Allot of artists butcher the song but there's actually another version from THEM that I think is better, cleaner

  • must be one of the most recorded songs ever. Budgies my fave.

  • versione molto psichedelica mi piace!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BETTER THAN SEX

  • @anandanaga999 almost.

  • Just one great song.

    This is just GREAT

  • I miss Van Morrison's cat-like yowl. That's what originally attracted me to this song when I heard it playing in the background in David Lynch's 'Wild At Heart.' But the guitar AND the drums in this version definitely get to do their share of yowlin'! :D

  • Van Morrison's totally awesome band! love this!

  • good music!!

  • Great!

  • This Them whitout Van Morrison alas.

  • van morrisons band 4 you youngns

  • Baby please don't go is probably the best guitar song ever written

  • THEM is the Father of AC/DC. Iconic sound!!!!!

  • Yep! It's still Them.

    Music is the Best! FZ

  • maybe the heaviest version of this song I've ever heard. good stuff.

  • So it was Them!

  • @gregtheiceman Yes it was Them!

  • I liked Lightnin Hopkins version better. This one is ok, but.......it's just ok.

  • Wow what great drumming!

  • can hear "Stroll On" by the Yardbirds in there somewhere...from the film "Blow Up"

  • Killer!!!

  • The drummer was running hot that night

  • This is proper music with some guts behind it.

I love this version, but I think the original is better.

  • Great music, and i'm from the 70's so i pretty much grew up with this kind of music.

  • van said,' it was the worst band he had ever been in. when he & the originals first quit, others took over. they never were the same.

  • thats not van singing....no way

  • the gutar on the right speaker sounds a bit flat........actually he sounds like me!!!!!!

  • good morning vietnam!!!!!

  • jimmy page is playng guitar on this one. believe it or not

  • Hey any one remember this from the Simpson's when Bart got a fake drivers licence and he took a road trip and this was a song from the episode . Ha Ha

  • hmm this sounded familiar :P

  • that was radar love by golden earring

  • Good stuff. Rocks like '71.

  • un blues ferroviario....la locomotiva sbuffa,ahahah

  • actually page played 2nd guitar, not lead- wikipedia

  • The band Them, released "Baby, Please Don't Go" as the A side of a single in 1964. Boosted by the B side,"Gloria", the single became their first hit, reaching #10 on the UK Singles Chart. This version is included on the double CD compilation The Story of Them Featuring Van Morrison, Van Morrison's 1990s greatest hits album, The Best of Van Morrison and various compilations of Morrison's work. Session guitar work was played by a then little-known Jimmy Page.

    Info from Wikipedia

  • This is a later version of "Baby please don't go", from the album "In reality" (1971). Neither Van Morrison nor Jimmy Page on this one.

  • I was gonna say it doesn't sound like Van.

  • sounds like alvin lee singing..dont know if he was ever in this outfit. definitely not him playing the axe...

  • Now all you have to do is post Belfast Gypsies version of "Boom Boom"!

  • Roll it on.

  • I forgot how good this version is. Excellent post.

  • 2nd part of the medley :)
