These days the price is so low on this game, it's definitely worth buying. As for living up to the film, the story of the game sort of runs parallel to the original story, and in that capacity I think it works very well. Hope you enjoy!

I loved this game, but I feel this review didn't go very in-depth. Here's two more downsides:

1. All the scenery looks the same, so it's hard to navigate

2. The lock-on is awkward (more than in GTA). It'll change on its own sometimes, and it doesn't prioritize your targets well.

Two pluses:

1. The combat is FUN AS FUCK! You really feel the impact when you hit someone, especially w/ the magnum.

2. You're far from invincible (head shots kill u in the beginning), so you have to be smart

I LOVE EXTORTING!!!! elements from games like the godfather, scarface, and saints row are things that the grand theft auto series always miss. gta4 especially could of had drug dealing, extorting and more customizing. WAY more.

as much as I hate to say it I didnt enjoy this game I played it on ps2 and it was so bad compared to gta at the start of the game I realy liked it it was very fun but later on it got so repetitive and the driving was hell you basically spend the majority of the gameplay driving some shit car to a destination only to go talk to some guy to find out you need to drive somewhere else so you can have a minute of shooting there was some driving in gta aswell but it was acually fun

I've just bought this game on Xbox 360. I've already played this before as I borrowed it from my cousin. All I can say is that I was hooked into it from the onset!

I've never played GTA and I keep hearing this game being similiar to that one, but with a better storyline and a period setting.

the Godfather is a fantastic game. it has some of the best combat I have ever seen in a game, both hand to hand and firearms. the only thing that I did not like about this game was the basic, uninteresting playing field. the city all looks the same, and most of the building's interiors are exactly the same....

I hated the Scarface game, it didn't even follow the movie, it was just 'What if Tony didn't die' this game follows the movie and it also has it's own little story for your character, I found this game much better, and i'm gunna get the 360 version soon (I only had the ps2 version).
