  • Thanks uploader...very good movie

  • I love this movie!

  • excellent film

  • now say goodbye you lying piece of shit because im letting him go

  • I fel in love in this movie and ready to watch it 100000000000 times. great script, great direction, great music and great, great, great performances. Best duo I ever seen in a movie.

  • GREAT, GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jimmy Siranno and his goons disliked it.

  • no way I would walk home through Los Angeles with 300,000 grand in my possesion

  • Loved the Taxi at the end...a nod to a certain movie in DeNiro's past.

  • I would walk home from the end of the country if someone gave me 300,000 :3

  • the music from 4.27 is very sad, and really makes you think they had sucha great adventure and it really does an excellent job making you feel everything is wrapped up well. I really love this movie, it is so much more entertaining that the fucking crap hollywood makes these days with inflated budgets and cgi these days movies are about making huge profits and returns back, so they make dumbed down films with no heart no character development and no class. i miss this era, and the early 90s. fck

  • Thanks for uploading...love it!

  • Classic. I always loved this film. About two years after it was released I found the tape version of the soundtrack buried in a 99 cents bin at Walmart. For my 99 cents I played the helll out of that soundtrack. A true Danny Elfman classic.

  • Great film not seen it in about ten years loved re watching it

  • Thanks for the upload, wonder if they;ll do a second movie

  • This movie is so good it hurts. The movie, the cast, the ending, the soundtrack, all outstanding!

  • They don't make movies like they they use to.

    The 1980's ruled.

  • Well I gotta say this is the first time I've watched this film and I liked it. Robert De Niro's amazing acting really makes this film hold up as well as some really good lines he delivers. His character also has some really good motivation skills. Although, I prefer 48 as that's my favorite buddy cop movie this one's okay.

  • One of my all time favorite movies. Not a lot of movies can come close to the all around action and comedy!

  • Five people didn't have change for a thousand!!!GREAT MOVIE!!!

  • Thanks much!

  • How many times was the F-word used in this movie?

  • @smartamateur 119 times, according to IMDB.

  • GREAT FLICK, THANKS

  • YOU...YOU GOT HIM?! OH JACK I LOVE YA!

WE GOT YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!

  • Love this film de niro is great

  • So $1000 bills exist in the USA? Creative film making at it's finest.

  • "Okay, this is it, Tonight is the Fuckin' night"

  • Fun fact: the taxi driver at the end was also one of Jodie Foster's clients in Taxi Driver whom De Niro (as Travis Bickle) kills.

  • What a great scene-I've seen this a few times and every time it still brings many laughs. " A very respectable neighborhood .Take Care" " looks like I'm walking" Great upload.

  • looks like im walking xD

  • Brilliant film. I watched it when I was a kid but I didn't realise how good it was.

  • THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great film. Thanks for posting it!

  • @1:30 Hello you son of a bitch...LMAO Classic Eddie lol

  • I need a midnight run like this, love this film

  • GREAT MOVIE. thanks for the share

  • Good, clean entertainment.

  • They don't make films this good anymore, do they?

  • @kyawwaiyan nope

  • What has Martin Brest been up to?

  • This movie is a classic, and it will always remain one

  • @valdez13 why would someone flag your comment for spam lol

  • thanks for loading, what a great film. yeah you're all right, they don't make great movies likt this anymore, they rely more on special FX. they should made a sequel for this 2 character & Robert de Niro & Charles Grodin should won an OSCAR for their roles

  • @rombrown2002 - A sequel is on the way, with Robert de Niro and quite possibly Charles Grodin as well.

  • Thank you for uploading! Classic American film.

  • Best Movie ever!! Loved it.

  • Somehow transcends the typical buddy flick to be something much more... Great movie!

  • @MaddMegaDawg This terrific film was released in 1988...and it makes me say "They don't make em like this anymore."

  • Thanks very much for the upload, greatly appreciated!

  • Did anyone count how many fucks were said? :) loved this!

  • The first time I watched this movie was two years ago. I was going thru a horrible depression and the only thing that kept me from thinking about it was watching this. This movie made me feel a hundred percent better about myself. This is hands down the truly most wonderful movie I ever saw in my entire life. Thanks for uploading this. So long everybody!!

  • @msinclair1991 Know the feeling pal. This movie just makes you feel good. Hope all is well now.

  • By far the most touching scene, deep, true without over reactions.

    Great movie :)

  • good movie and great music too

  • I loved how agent Mozly became so sweet after he and jack started cooperating, it's like he fall in love with him :)

    thanks for uploading this!

  • song at the end?!

  • Midnight Run 2 is in development and ready to go Di'nero and team 2gether again word has it Jimmy puts a hit on roberts daughter and dinero and team must find her before he does it will bw a comedy a little darker but funny also look for it 2012 release should be funny same director also

  • this film has no flaws. perfect on every level. i'm posting this after having watched it for probably the 50th time since its release. i was 13 when it came out, perfect then, perfect now.

  • i always thought the duke was some angel or something..

  • Oh~it's very good&very nice move!!

    Thank you !!

  • A very poignant ending to a great movie. DeNiro and Grodin have instant chemistry and it's great to watch them evolve throughout the movie into friends of sorts.

  • Music in this movie is sooo awesome.

    What a Classic Movie!

  • thanks legacy....loved this film...godins deadpan style is brill...

  • The music at the end credits aren't on the sound track, it's the vocal version 'Try to believe'.

  • @Knigrgdrad have the soundtrack with Danny Elfman singin that song awesome CD got it on E-bay for 4.00 new! not even opened total cost was 8.00 worth it check out E-bay someone will have it new or used.

  • I wish the soundtrack wasn't so damn expensive or I'd buy it. Well, at least Universal is re-releasing the film with the 3 TV movies, but we want special features with the first film including commentaries, documentaries, isolated score, deleted scenes etc. Who's with me?

  • Cheers for the uploads, this was a pretty cool film.

  • Such a charming an.d funny film with amazing characters, amazing script and cool 80's music. i wonder if there's any truth behind these "buddy movies" cuz people can't just make this stuff up.

  • @CodesofConducts

    Hollywood baby.....

  • This is a great film. Funny, action-packed, with believable characters. I really enjoyed it.

  • Sounds like Pink Floyd's "Sorrow"!

    great great great

  • Whatever happened to Yaphet Kotto? He's a pretty good presence in this movie. And ballsy move to star Charles Grodin in it. I wouldnt have picked that one, but it comes off very well.

  • Beautiful ending. Thousand dollar bills are only used for transfers between banks.

  • I can't imagine a better ending for this really great film.

  • very underrated comedy...great buddy flick

  • looks like im walking..

  • i love this guy !

  • WATCHE DIT ON A WHIM...THANKS LEGACY...DEniro never dissapoints...

  • @zaxx19 i know, watch cape fear with di niro, should have won multiple awards

  • @zaxx19 Stop it! He's disappointed us all for the past 15 years! Name three decent movies he has made since this one

  • @petermarker1969 Since this movie? How about Goodfellas, Awakenings, Cape Fear, Casino.

  • @Mezzo396

I said "past 15 years', so that counts out the three you mention. Go to IMDB, check out his films since 1996. Rocky and Bullwinkle? Ronin maybe. You have to agree there has been a lot of misses.

  • @Mezzo396 My man dont forget about HEAT with him and Pacino the best out of them all

  • @petermarker1969 your comment is proof that you are a bag that accompanies the douche.

  • they should make a new one of them meeting up again

  • they should make a new one of them meating up again

  • i knew he was gunna let him go...but it was still a great movie!!!!

  • It would be hard to make a good sequel because this movie is such a tough act to follow. Got to be one of my all time favorites.

  • A True Classic...

  • Rock on Legacy ...

  • classic movie.....yeah now in the days it all about disney and this parade of boys u see.....no class no more

  • this is in my top ten all time movie list..

  • @canktm08 mine too

saw it at the theatre when it came out

and every coupla years since a dozen times now minimum since on vhs

    dvd and here at yt

always a real treat the laugh lines never grow old

and i gotta say i LOVE this movie

  • 細かい事ですが、エディーの腕のボタンがなぜだか、とれていますね…

  • I love this movie,especially last scene,the real friendship,there is….

  • Thanks for posting. A great movie. Wonderful to see most people watched the whole thing. A few dropped off in the middle, but good turn out in the end. I see I'm covered in popcorn, now the lights have been switched on. Greatest...

  • To the 4 people that gave this a thumbs down. Go watch your shitty disney films!

  • thx brought back memories

  • Kick ass Film. Many thanks to the uploader!! De Niro and Farina rock in this movie. I've been looking to see this again and am stoked it was here. Thanks again!!

  • Dunno what to say. Upload!

  • I don't care what anybody thinks Robert DeNiro is the greatest actor who has ever lived!!!!

  • A nice gesture by the Duke isn't it? Highly illegal, but a nice gesture.

  • Great music.

  • when that end credits music starts up, the chills up the arm, man!

  • i wish deniro and grodin would do another masterpiece!!!!!!!!! a film for the soul

  • It's really no coincidence every movie DeNiro is in is a fucking classic. The guy makes every movie good where it wouldn't be otherwise, one of the greatest actors ever.

  • I just went back and took a look at this again. This movie is set in the '80s. Deniro pulls out $1,000 bills, but I think all those bills were pulled out of circulation in like, 1969.

  • @Dinyctis I made that point to a yank and he shot me down with some bullshit about them still being legal tender but I'm sure $100 are the biggest US bills.

  • I just had a great time watching this movie, a big thanks to you, legacy 999!

  • Actually, that $100,000 probably seemed like another inducement to continue with something he really doesn't want, and wasn't about to let it happen again.

  • The ending doesn't feel contrived. Why? I think his self-worth was in the toilet. Doing humiliating work. Was forced out of being a cop. Didn't take that payoff but still likely felt defeated and ineffectual. That was more valuable to him than a coffee shop. At the end of the day, meaning, fulfillment and doing the right thing are what we all seek. I think a lot of us would pay $100,000 for that instead. Sometimes you just can't go on living a certain way.

  • @landgazr - Beautiful analysis, dude. Spot on.

  • "See you in the next life." Classic. The ending to this movie is out of this world. Couldnt be better.

One of my # one movies. Great!

  • @Quikbink freakin all time classic

  • All these modern buddy comedies are Martin Lawrence being a screechy pain in the arse, tacked on action scenes, loud explosions and stupid, over the top gags (Bad Boys 2 Exhibit A). This is the funniest, coolest, most exciting and most underrated buddy movie ever made. Even the ending makes me get a bit teary! See you in the next life.

  • I'm a big fan of happy endings in films, and this one is one of the best. Great actors, a great film, and a perfect ending. Well done. Very well done.

  • Thank you legacy999.

  • Marvin !!!  -->

  • i loved this movie it always gets u excited every time u wtch it!

  • This is quite possibly the best Action/Comedy film of all time. Its amazing how Martin Brest could give them such a strong relationship ( De Niro and Gordon) in 126 minutes. Also this film has the best feel of a buddy film. Wish we could get this sort of movies again, now its all about the quantity, and not the quality of the films. Films were good back then...

  • @AhmadAlony123 most of the current crop of actors cannot act -they just gaze silently and scowl - di caprio/wahlberg/damon-they even look interchangeable and it is hard to find confident film score musicians or even directors - the semi decent ones are all going through the motions on autopilot with remakes and sequels. so many great stories out there to tell-so few willing to try -hollywood now run by actuaries . and enough with menstrual vampire movies with shaved chest males already

  • I love the guitar playing in this scene. Great film.

  • A real feel good movie. I think Charles Grodin was the funniest. He made me laugh the hardest and not with words, but, with expressions.

  • watch your smokes with this guy jack ... class

  • there is something i wanna tell you in the 10 years? what? your'e under arrest ahahah classic

  • what are you, a comedian? get outa here ya bum!!

  • Great film.

  • One of the best movies of all time!!! Too bad Hollywood can not come up with movies like this... its all about stupid remakes and tv shows being turned into movies!

  • masterpiece!

  • Sometimes De Niro looks off to the side, and I wonder what or who's he's looking at, but I don't care - because HE ROCKS! NUMBER ONE actor! Especially in this role. This is one of his best roles... Perfect.

  • see ya in the next life

  • The greatest move ending of all time? (far better than the bloody soppy ending to Casablanca)

  • All these years -- I'm 50! -- I thought I'd seen this movie, and I never had!

What a treat to finally see it.

    A treat!

  • Except for a few tasteless moments, this film rules !

Great combination of drama and humor-- Story, script and acting, all excellent.

One of the best for DeNiro.

  • Do kids today even believe that 1000s used to exist?

  • Los putos gringos son unos hijos de la chingada, pero debo admitir que de vez en cuando hacen algo bien.

    Magnífica película!

  • Great movie, great acting, great cast, great story, no fucking special effects needed

  • thank you so very much

    i needed the laughs

  • thank you so very much

    i needed the laughs

  • when you do good it will always come back to you- multiplied many times- that is the truth

  • Saw this with my dad 20 some years ago... I miss him sometimes.

  • Great movie one of Robert De Niros underrated gems i have it one dvd and seen it so many times awesome stuff

  • Heres my take on the sequel : Jacks cafe did indeed go under and hes back in the

bounty huntin business. His daughters a cop with Chicago PD and needs his help cuz shes being framed like he was 40 years ago. Only this time its the Russian mob thats runnin Chicago PD.

  • thanks Legacy999! See ya in LA!

  • Thanks so much for uploading this movie. It puts a smile on my face to see this film again. this is my fav movie awesome could watch 1000 times never get sick of it.

  • This is one of those movies where I really get the sense that everyone who's involved in it was meant to get together and make this film. Everything about it feels so genuine.

  • Talk about the perfect ending to a film. The main character goes against his principles of turning his mark in, only to receive more than the reward he was supposed to get for turning the duke in. Thanks so much for uploading this movie. It puts a smile on my face to see this film again. Genius directing by Martin Brest...

  • You son of a bitch =^_^=

  • "That's a very respectful neighborhood".....WOW!!!!!!!!

  • "nethrit" I really liked your take for the next possible sequel. I think you have some talent my man, very nice schematic script outline.

  • that would be a god sequel, haha

  • I wonder what if they made a sequel to it. Jack finally opens his coffee shop and calls it "The Next Life". And one day he gets a visit from John, who is now settled abroad. And around the same time, Serrano is out of prison , looking for revenge. The other characters are back too. And a new love interest for Jack.

    Wouldn't that be something.

  • Funnily enough nethrit, the reason I'm revisiting this is because of an article in Empire dated March 5 2010 stating that Universal have locked down a deal with De Niro to produce and star in a sequel. Charles Grodin will not be returning. I'd include the link if they'd let me but the news snippet is called 'De Niro to Run Again'.

  • good one

  • whats with the 1000 dollar bills?? those exist???

  • 100,000 ALSO EXIST

  • Thanks.

  • i hope de niro has cut down on them ciggies ha ha...top film

  • This movie and The King of Comedy are De Niros best movies....

  • more like this one and casino

  • @manosblim --I'm going to have to put Raging Bull up there, too. I think that and King and Midnight Run are his best. Okay, can't forget Godfather Part 2. I don't always like his movies--Ronin, The Mission, Taxi Driver for example--but he's a flawless actor.
