  • where can I buy that litter? (Don't have any pet smart in Québec)

  • I have a super digger and he doesn't like strange litter... He'll go outside the box if you give him any other kind of litter. My daughter picked up a new pan at the beginning of the year and everyday I'm sweeping the litter back into his box. I got a new one w/ a hood because my Service Dog who NEVER had touched the litter box before got into it and was sick for a week. I had to put a child gate up to keep him out. I love the new one that's super deep and w/ a huge lid.. HE LOVES IT!!

  • I just bought this yesterday and already I'm singing its praises. I HATE cat litter and the constant changing and scooping of dusty smelly litter. So far no smell, no mess, and I'm loving it.

  • Looks like a good system, I would buy it if it had a top..... why do I need a top if it? Doesn't smell you say.... think about it, maybe cats aren't the only animals in the house, cat poop is candy to dogs, and that is not something I would want happening in my house. We have 3 Dogs, 2 cats an 31 fish (I'm not concerned about the fish eating cat poop!)

  • @floridadaniel63 I currently have a Booda litter igloo for my cat because he likes his privacy. I would try that tidy Cat system if it had a top, too.

  • It's only $20 after a coupon through email, purchase in-store. Tempted to purchase. Once a month for poop? That's a lofty claim.

  • @MajorWilliams3 That's not the claim. I scoop out the poop daily (but it's even easier than with clumping litter) and change the pad for collecting urine once a week. The "once a month" claim is just for changing the whole box of litter--then it only takes one small bag of pellets, not a big bag of dusty litter. The pads really do "lock in" the odor from urine and, besides being "no dust" the pellets don't crumble or get tracked all over the house by you or your cat! Well worth my money!

  • That was my question. If I were going to pay Big Money for a cat litter system, I'd want to go all out, and not settle for anything less than automated.

  • @TriciaN1341 Yeah I suppose. :/ But what about cats who dig in their litter?

  • @christykientzler Gabriel is a "digger," too. That's why he is also scatters his litter outside the box. He still digs at the pellets and covers his poop with them, so that has not been a problem for him or me. As I've said before, the pellets are a LOT easier to sweep up than regular litter (I usually just sweep them into a dustpan and dump them back in the litter box).

  • @christykientzler The money isn't all that "big" considering that your initial purchase of the box with the sliding tray for the pads, includes a month's supply of pellets and pads. To me, the main benefits are the "no dust" pellets that don't crumble if you happen to step on them and don't get tracked all over the house by you or your cat. And, they're so easy to sweep up with a broom if any get scattered out of the box. And, I love that the pads really do lock in odor--no litter box smell!

  • So how do the solids stay on top when cat's like to bury it? Can this system stand up to cats scratching around in the litter? Like the concept, just not sure it would work/the system would hold up for very long.

  • @gretiesmom I've used the Breeze system for 3-4 years and love it. My cat buries his solids under the pellets but it's so much easier to scoop out than even clumping litter. He tends to scatter litter but not nearly as much as with regular litter and it's so much easier to sweep up. One of the things I like most is on top of being "no dust," if you step on the pellets, they don't crumble an/or get tracked all over the house like regular litter. The pads really do "lock in" urine odor.
