i love that Guy makes no apologies for how messy an eater he can be, depending on the dish, or that he does things we all do in our own kitchens on national TV... when I hear people say 'keep it real', he's the guy (no pun intended) I think of, because he is genuine in his reactions to the food and how he acts like a giant kid.

OK breakfast. The red eye gravy was extremely salty. I think Thumbs Up Diner has a better breakfast, but Silver Skillet has that classic Southern feel. The biscuits, serving size, and wait staff were great though!

Grits are the polenta of the south. Ground up corn meal that is boiled. I like mine with a little butter/margarine AND cheese; aka cheese grits.
