I call on Andras... 00:29:55 Grand Marquis of Hell, Provoker of Discords... 00:30:00 and upon Ronwe, Demon of Forbidden Knowledge... 00:30:05 and upon Behemoth... 00:30:08 Arch Devil of the Black Delights. 00:30:11 I call upon Asmodeus the Destroyer... 00:30:15 and Astaroth, friend of all the great Lords of Hades. 00:30:20 I call upon the many names of Prince Satan... 00:30:23 Beelzebub and Lucifer. 00:30:26 I demand an audience with His Satanic Majesty!
The incantation: I call on Andras, Grand marquis of hell, ____ of pestilence, (?) Head (?) of ____, Master of the black delights. I call upon Asmodeus the Destroyer and Astaroth, friend of all great ___ of Hades! I call upon the many names of Prince Satan, Beelzebub and Lucifer, I demand an audience with His Satanic Majesty! Anyone care to supply the missing bits?
ok... you can view youtube videos about "real music" and stop annoying us... ( I´m a composer and multinstrumentalist... but I recognize other musical qualities beyond circuss virtuosism)
"would you like to try a biscuit deary? I find they're quite nice when the music's banging...I got the recipe from a nice young lady @ Glastonbury one year, I forgot all about my lumbago and got down with my good and bad self" aah, nans eh!
Daddy? Yes, son... What does regret mean? Well son, the funny thing about regret is that it's better to regret something you have done than to regret something that you haven't done...
now 36 hours left and orbital and they come to my fucking TOWN. Bucharest in the open air B'ESTFEST. i can't fucking wait. it will be SATAN ALL OVER MAN, if you know what i mean.
This track is mainly based on a sample from "Sweatloaf" by the (almighty) Butthole Surfers. "Daddy, what does regret mean? ... Be sure and tell her, Satan!" It's all there in the original, including the awesome riff. No denying, Orbital's Satan is one of the best tracks ever ... but the Butthole Surfers deservesome credit!
Sweatloaf is mainly based on a riff from Sweet Loaf by the (almighty) Black Sabbath. It's all there in the original, including the awesome riff. No denying Butthole Surfers Sweatloaf is one of the best tracks ever but... Black Sabbath deserves some credit!
i remember playing this very loud at work when it came out and one guy in particular getting very upset with the satan references due to his 'beliefs'
Orbital will play Manchester Academy on Saturday 19th September and London Brixton Academy on Friday 25th September. Tickets go on general public sale on Friday 30th January at 9am.
I am pretty sure I heard that Orbital said that they created this song called 'Satan' because some people complain about songs being Satanic...and sometimes even suggest that if you play certain songs backwards - they sound like the devil....so Orbital thought - hey why don't we just do a song about Satan - forwards.
or perhaps Auld Nick infiltrated their minds and all of a sudden they thought to themselves: lets give Satan kudos. After all people are suffering or being killed in wars and we're not responsible for that. Plus it will show everyone how we are brave enough to overstep the mark. And who knows, we might make the front page of the Daily Mail if somebody feeds them a salacious story about what we do in our spare time. A track was born.
Hail Satan God of this world! Hey people, would you praise God again after he supported Bush for president, I think not! Glory to Satan creator of all of mankind.
