@tonymarie1984 This was rte pluto? I read the book and I was wondering what these roads looked like. I was imagining a much less well-paved area, much more narrow and burning trash piles everywhere. That was the impression given by Mr. Finkel. This road does not look like how it was described.

@kasanj I was with that unit i was 3rd platoon Alpha company And yes it was very aweful and very traumatizing for alot of us as for myself I feel like the best part of me was left over there.

Patriotic non military people always say the right things, but man we have absolutely no idea how hard it must be. I cant stop thinking about his book. Makes me a bit guilty for not serving while others did.

i have been readding his book i really like it alot its another great perspective of the war in iraq. his book is called " The Good Soilders"
