What I don't understand is that if her 'family' was so ashamed of Ayane, why didn't they simply send her to another country so that she wouldn't stay in the village, or simply kill her when she was born. I know it's cruel, but it's crueler that everyone knew what was going on and still treated her like shit.
Up till now, I still think what Kasumi did was all for the sake of Hayate, taking revenge. After I finish watching the cut scens & endings, I felt tt Hayate shld not like take action(assassinate) on Kasumi. Kasumi did not do anything harmful or betray the Mugen Teshin Clan. Kasumi doesn't deserve this kind of punishment.

I wanna see if Ayana and Kasumi can reconcile in Dead or Alive Dimensions. I think it might have been better to make a Ninja Gaiden-style Dead or Alive game with Ayane and Kasumi as main characters. It would be cool to see.

I find this story to be very informative. It definitely opens up alot to the story between these two (Kasumi & Ayane). I love that about Dead Or Alive! You think one thing, and they always have something new to change the story. Like Helena's mom! All that time on DOA2 and DOA3, everyone thought Ayane killed her mother, but later on in DOA4, you find out the truth. DOA's storyline is fucking beast and I really wish they'd make another game cause this is one of my favorite series of all time!

@OokamiG Raidou, not Raiden. And Kasumi wasn't really apathetic. She still wonders why Ayane hates her, shown as such by the fact that she often asks "Why?" when Ayane attacks her. She still holds on to their past friendship; Ayane was the one who cut the ties, not Kasumi.

But she knows that's not what Hayate would want, and If you look at the European version of Dead Or Alive Dimensions trailer, Ayane says "My father died long ago!", meaning Ayane doesn't see Kasumi as family in the least.
Not to mention that Kasumi voluntarily ditched everything she had and Ayana NEVER had. That's like being a starving child and watching your best friend/half-sister throw a 5-stars meal into the dirt right in front of your eyes.
Apparently Ayane still holds some friendly feelings for her sister though: in Helena's DOA 4 ending she stops Kasumi from risking her life for Helena.
Thats because Ayane shares a respect for Master Hayate and is obviously not going to sever their relation ship by killing his sister/her half sister. Not to mention their old friendship keeps her from killing kasumi. Aswell as that she has Master Ryu protecting Kasumi and she admires Ryu's power and wont go battling him anytime soon, especially since the Mugen Tenshin Ninja Clan, The Mugen Tenshin Shadow Ninja Clan and the Hayabusa Ninjitsu clan are all comrades.

@izik21 Her brother hayate was crippled fighting Raidou, so because of that she went to the DOA tournament to defeat Raidou. But while doing so she left her secret ninja clan which made her a traitor.

Thats because Ayane shares a respect for Master Hayate and is obviously not going to sever their relation ship by killing his sister/her half sister. Not to mention their old friendship keeps her from killing kasumi. Aswell as that she has Master Ryu protecting Kasumi and she admires Ryu's power and wont go battling him anytime soon, especially since the Mugen Tenshin Ninja Clan, The Mugen Tenshin Shadow Ninja Clan and the Hayabusa Ninjitsu clan are all comrades.

@izik21 Her brother hayate was crippled fighting Raidou, so because of that she went to the DOA tournament to defeat Raidou. But while doing so she left her secret ninja clan which made her a traitor.

@sweetstar11207 Yep it was the best of the DOA games. DOA 4 is more Tekkenish I.E. Rush fighting. DOA 2 actually allowed for Chess matches.
People wonder why most fighter fans love SF so much and it's because Capcom does it right. It's not rush fighting it's Feints, Baits and Mind Games mostly.
Try to bait in DOA and see what happens lol They also shouldn't have started allowing standard attacks that hit the downed person stop your wake ups that's what I mean when I say Tekkenish

@izices His name actually is Ryu, it's his first name. "Hayabusa" is a given name to him because that's the Ninjutsu style that he practices in, the Hayabusa style. Thus, his name is Ryu Hayabusa, and, he lives in the Hayabusa village.

@VampyreGurl1323 Hayabusa is his clan name actually. Hayabusa clan developed a fighting style named after their clan, just as the Mugen Tenshin clan has two different styles based on their village. There is the Mugen Tenshin: Tenjin Mon, from the village where Kasumi and Hayate developed their abilities, and then there is Mugen Tenshin: Hajin Mon, where Ayane developed hers.
Japanese names are family name first, then personal. In Japan, for Hayabusa's name, it would be written as "Hayabusa Ryu."

@BlazeIgnitus Ok fine. I admit that I meant Hayabusa was his family name - since he is a member of the head family of the village. However, I'm not technically wrong, he does live in the Hayabusa village and fighting style.
Also, I do know about the two forms of Mugen Tenshin and the village and which of the three Ninja from the Mugen Tenshin village practice in. I also know about Japanese names.
I appreciate correcting me on the clan name (as you are correct) just please don't patronise me.

Ayane's life is way harder than Kasumi's. She's dealing with everyone who keeps calling her poisoned child, her taking in for the fact that Genra, the ONE person who cared about her is dead, and of course Hayate, the one idiot who is keeping the secret from Ayane that Ryu Hayabusa is protecting Kasumi despite that Hayate wants her dead.

@markedrules Ayane also has resentment over Kasumi. Because Ayane was born a bastard the Clan looked down on her and she hated the fact that her older half sister Kasumi was treated better. I don't think she really hated her after Kasumi left.
