I have been riding since my freshmen year of high school and now being a senior, it took months of bareback, core and leg training to get where I wanted to be now seat wise. this is some what the same for bull riding. My advise to you so you can some what have edge and strength that you would need. try googleing .........

actually in show jumping its not really cruel. i do that too it doesn't hurt the horse unless its straining and i don't use a crop and i never do anything with the reins i use my legs

if you were to compare how many injuries there. there would be many more to the cowboys than the animals. At PRCA rodeos that were surveyed less than .2 per cent ijury occuried to animals during the time under investigation. which is much lower than horse racing. i understand that is what you believe and i have no problem with that. but you dont see me showing up at your dog shows with picket signs saying all the things that they do are cruelty. its their sport and they know what they are doing

Even Fred Whitfield has said in an interview: 'Yeah, I've injured some'. Injured SOME and he still does it? For what? Real brave he-man there. The rodeo is NOT a sport. It is sanctioned abuse. And horses' ligaments aren't meant for the continuous strain barrel racing puts on them.
All horses shown were being pushed beyond their natural use. Wild contortions don't make great photographs. They show obvious disregard for the animals' safety. Disregard=disrespect. And that he-man throwing his arms up over a downed/tied calf? Macho. I grew up dreaming of being a cowboy... then I thankfully woke up from that nightmare.
