@Craydon This kindof 3D printing has been around for a while now. If a major news org reported about it, i'd think they were seriously behind the times.

In industry we use that type of machining only to make fast prototype that can be manipulated.
It's a perfect tool for engineer and searcher who what to test a concept without to make an order to another company.
