this is retareded my main reason is he could hurt him self an have permanent damage to his back cause once ur back is hurt the aint no fixin it its not like a arm with a few work outs no its for life . lift wat u can carry then add on slowly not like this retareded liftin more then he could carry
if you've never done The Bear.... stfu. It is torturous. I can't imagine doing 185 lbs. I use 115 - 135 and I vomited the last time I completed it.... and I can bench 340 and squat over 400, and I do cardio four times per week. Crossfit is the real deal! I mix it in one time per week with weights and running.
JohnLeeMD: If you don't already understand whats it's like to accomplish something you previously thought impossable, then simply because I can, and you won't.
I really mean no offense to this guy, who obviously is getting after it. My serious question (to all these crossfit people is): what is the point? I mean, if you are a professional athlete or something--fine. But if you are just a regular Joe Shmoe like everyone else, what is the point of putting yourself through torturous workouts like this? Seriously, you don't look much better than the guy who just pumps weights + cardio in regular ways. So why kill yourself?
I did thirty of these befor the Bears game Sunday night. Mine consisted of deadlift, hang clean, front squat, shoulder press, back squat, finishing with a good morning. One hundred pounds.
@KennedyCorey he probably weighs 210-215 , so its not as big a deal as you think, it willl exhaust you but when I do it I notice it more of a cardio component than I do heavy muscle exhaustion
Good job man. I remember the first time I did the bear complex (I might add with alot less weight than you are doing here). I could hardly walk for a week. Real brutal workout. Congrats again.
@solarseeking every1 who does the bear has bad clean form, its because i dont think they care about having perfect form for that, they dotn specialze in O-Lifts, they probably just want to get the damn weight up
good effort! but if you have to rest in between each movement its too much weight and you're not getting all you can out of the complex. should be continuous and fluid so its more athletic. Some of the women on here make the complex look pretty.
@diesel7777777 I just started doing cleans and I've been coached but I have no idea if I'm doing it right. This guy looks like he's doing it right. How can you tell he's using his arms? It doesn't look like a reverse curl to me.
coleman is a bodybuilder, this is crossfit.. functional workouts compared to a freak show. but that is not to take away from what Coleman has accomplished.
Great flexibility and form.

18 people cant do a 95# Bear Complex.. Stop trashing his form and admire the fact he can beast the hell out of a hard workout

Looks like he has way too much weight for what he is doing. He should back it off a bit to prevent injury.

His front squats are atrocious. Guy needs to go back to pvc foundations and mobility.

I am surprised he held that weight on his knees, even with not such a fantastic look, he did something most can't do.

i was under the impression a bear complex called for squat cleans...
heavysurf858 1 year ago
That's impresive but there's no way that can be good for your spine....185 is really heavy to be twisting around like that

I was under the impression you had to front squat, then push press? A little bit of cheating by turning it into a thruster, no?
