  • Christ, everybody gave McMullan a kicking. Malcolm Tucker, Alan Partridge, he had it from all sides.

  • Campbell and McMullan together - it's like a kind of grotesque carnival of the wicked on Newsnight!

  • if what they were doing was IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST, why did they then charge us 70p to £1.00 to be able to read about it.

One slight step up from micro-bacterial pond life

  • God this man would defend a Paedophile if he had to! I hate journalists like him in this country, just because a person is famous, how are they entitled to no privacy!? Fair enough they need the press at certain times, like promoting a film, but where on earth do you draw the line? Will it then be okay to put surveillance cameras in their bedrooms or bathrooms. They lack any moral compass and it makes me ashamed to live in a country that has this sort of press!

  • McMullans no longer the cocky arrogant twat when he's being interviewed by Paxman as he scared of him.

  • He's not irritating, he's amusing...

  • 5:54 what a ridiculous little man - 10% of the population have hacked a phone - the excuses that pond life make for their own inequities are dreadful...

  • Alistair Campbell Vs Paul McMullan. Haha. As much as McMullan may be full of shit he's got less blood on his hands than that lying war criminal Campbell.

Note how considerate Campbell is about McMullan and Rebecca Brooks. He was their best friend when they were lying for him and drinking at the same parties.

  • Someone should investigate the Electoral Commission, they refused to investigate Andy Coulson secret payments from Murdoch while working for the Tories. That's against the law. Seems there's one law for political advisers and another for the people they hack

  • I wouldn't know HOW to hack into a phone let alone feel JUSTIFIED TO DO IT! Husband's affairs or worries for offspring would not tempt me. Paul McCullan would defend child rape if it was in his best interest. He is a phenomenal wanker.

  • why the fuck isnt Alastair Campbell in the jail ??

he has got away with murder , and yet he gets to poke the finger at people ?

  • "not really a very popular position" thats what he says when trying to take a positive moral point. Reveals how the Murdoch Media/cameron government think. All they care about is pandering to the mob, look at Cameron post riots.. they're obssessed with it.

  • The rather sinister looking markings below McMullen's left eye. Is infact markings from the number of times Murdoch has cock slapped him!!

  • Campbell seems to be "managing" this interview.

Why is it, that whenever he's involved in "spin" someone gets away with something they shouldn't?

This is damage control - Campbell cuts him off at 6:13 to prevent more damage!

I doubt the weasel will do any jail time.

  • @HarrysSecret

completely agree..... that seemed way to obvious with the eye contact and camera angles,

  • The clock is ticking for McMullan. Banged up by Christmas.

  • McMullan is like a Harry Potter villain

  • @getheroutofthetruck lol. a real life rita skeeter. :)

  • What a revolting, feral, panty-sniffer Paul McMullen is. He looks like a drunk and talks the morals of a junkie. Anything for a fix, right Paul?

  • @JoeStunner Oooh, that's the best quote I've heard yet..... "Morals of a junkie" gonna have to remember that one.

He tried to defend phone hacking by saying words to the effect of "The politicians only made it illegal because we used to catch them with their trousers around their ankles.... it never used to be illegal, and it still shouldn't."

Classic sociopath.. does not feel any sense of guilt or remorse when committing morally wrong actions or actions that their society deems unacceptable

  • @Cliffjumper24

He also said that phone-hacking is the best way to get "accurate" stories as the information comes straight from the horse's mouth. He, Jon Gaunt, Piers Morgan, et al are the slimiest of shits who obviously belong in prison, preferably sharing a cell with a tutu-wearing Mr. Big.

  • @JoeStunner

He should be made to spend the rest of his days cleaning the sewers of Calcutta with his tongue.

To compare mothers checking the messages of loved ones to see if theyre still alive to the Fleet Street whores hacking into peoples private messages shows what an abhorrent cunt he really is.

If its illegal to open someones PAPER mail, how can it be legal to open someones ELECTRONIC mail?

  • @tiarnan76

Precisely. He's the personification of everything that's wrong with modern British (faux)journalism. In fact, along with the likes of Jon Gaunt, Piers Morgan and assorted News International slags, he takes the whole obscene sleaziness to almost sociopathic standards. He's just garbage.

  • cunt

    n Taboo

    1. the female genitals

    2. Offensive slang - a mean or obnoxious person

    3. Paul McMullan

  • Hang on. Trying to get information for a story is no excuse for criminal activity. These are just lazy reporters who can't be arsed to work harder. If they can't get the info, they shouldn't run the story and perhaps they can write about something decent for once.

  • Paul McMullan. Villain.

  • Comment removed

  • to be honest i think most of them are like this guy whether they work for tabloids or serious papers. the media is full of shit masquerading as human lol

  • Nobody ever mentions the pants security on mobile phones. These four digit code to get your text messages is nonsense. There should easily be a better system. If someone has even not got a default code from the factory still on their mobile, someone only needs to use software and a gadget 9,999 times to crack it. It should be two step - a code more than four figures - say six, and a personal defaulf answer in letters, like your favorite football team. Billions of times more secure.

  • at least he is telling the truth of whatever bad things he has done in the past

  • You really have to admire Paul McMullan. It takes a lot of effort, a lot of work and a lot of determination to look like the biggest cunt in the room whilst sat next to Alastair Campbell.

  • Has anyone hacked Coulson's phone?

  • @whereismybailouttv Or any Tory for that matter.....John Prescott, Jack Straw and Peter Mandelson have made claims..

  • i can't stand stand any of these people.

  • Gordon Brown is trying to re-write history, that just because people like Mcmullan "look" like criminals(ie, if youre slashed, theres no smoke without fire)- rather than just a deliberate ploy to get footsoldiers scared enough to work for higher-ups .. The men who did this to Mcmullan will not have any scars on their body to indicate they are criminal masterminds, I can assure you- actually, they'll probably have a fresh shave, a clean shirt on, and a knighthood..

  • All a perception game...all a perception game....the intimidated dogbodies get the blame...the masters go under the radar, they hire some other mentally ill flotsam & jetsam looking for a job and bit of hobby, to do their filthy work, and The Game continues.

  • @MoonAharshMistress He is still getting paid. He is acting as the front criminal to cover the big criminals.

  • Mcmullan , btw, has a scar of "69" carved on the right side of his face. Cant tell if its a knife wound or a burn wound- but it shines through the make-up leading me to think it might be a burn wound; but I cant be sure if the logic of that is true as I am not a dematologist. Maybe laceration scars shine through too. I dont know. Either way he was scarred up.

  • At the time they were deleting messages- and destroying the investigation- Milly may well have still been alive. They were interferring with that window of time. They should be jailed- not for being too stupid and mentally ill to have empathy for other people- but for deliberately destroying a rescue operation of a kidnapped child. At the end of the day, intent or not, thats what it is. Thats actually what they achieved.

  • . Even McMullan's copy here is hacked believe it or not: the mannerism with the pen and the anecdote about putting his fingers in his ears. Its too good- too descriptive. But its someone elses, and it 's original referent was to do with a particular antitraffiking agency physically refusing to listen to a story about traffiking so they could claim plausible denaibilty. Im not going to go into how I know this, because no-ones interested and Im beginning to sound like a stuck record.

  • @2.40. I dont like the way the argumnet is being changed regarding the deleting phone messages. Theyve tried to change what should fall under criminal opprobrium as moral obbrobrium.

The point is not wether deleting messages gave hope to the parents- that is a side issue- the point is that forensic evidence was being destroyed in the process which is sabotaging the investigation and perverting the course of justice.

  • Those phone mesages could have been left by anyone- including the killer! THEY ARE FIRST AND FOREMOST EVIDENCE and secondly, LEADS FOR THE DIRECTION of the INVESTIGATION.

How is a cop supposed to find the co-ordinates of the kidnapper/killer and Milly from Milly's phone if NOTW decide to destroy satellite footprints.

Murdoch et al could not only not give a toss about peoples distress but are more than happy to prevent a kidnapped girl from being found. .

  • This moron mcmullan doesnt even twig that there is a forensic case to answer, aside from the morality.

I cant for the life of me see how people with no qualifications & no responsibility to anybody are allowed to roam around, inadvertently sabotaging some of the most important & already mammothly difficult to resolve

  • issues &problems of our time- solving crime : crime, organised crime, psychopathic killers, murderers, rackateers, traffikers, hackers, rapists etc. Its as if its all just a joke, a game we're all to be mocked for being on the losing end of, and attempts to try to block this flow of godforsaken behaviour are to be ridiculed as quaint and ineffectual- something to be made fun of.

  • I have never said this about anyone but... Paul McMullan is a complete idiot!

  • mc mullan acts like he has the right to know everything no mather is it legal or not. what a scum bag!!

  • Note the difference in the treatment of McMullan between Campbell and Steve Coogan a few nights later. It is no secret that Cambell and Blair were worryingly close to Brooks and News International so you wonder is Campbell going easy on them as he knows they have sh*t on him? Remember a lot of the hacking and bribing of the police took place when Campbell was working for the government.

  • McMullan is a scumbag, only a small step up on the evolutionary scale from paedophiles

  • I have a funny feeling that we're gonna hear about Paul Mcmullan dying of an "accidental" overdose

  • brooks must go> 5.10

  • brooks must go> 3.30

  • To be fair to him, McMullan is the only tabloid sleazeball that has had the balls to defend the integrity of his "occupation".

  • @TheGlobalPanacea No he's not. He's flogging his sorry arse to every bidder.

  • @batttyboi I stand corrected.

  • It's not a big deal. Come to America and say that, McMullan.

  • Is he a crack head?

  • Paul McMullan is scum - pure and simple

  • not that fucking Paul McMullan fucking piece of shit again. Capp that motherfuckking cunt in the back of the head and stuff his rotten corpse into a stinking ditch to be eaten slowly by worms and flies. and then fed to his own mother. PS. I hear he is also a peedo. Truefact. a taxi driver told me so it must be true.

  • Bye Bye Paxman...Bye Bye Newslite.

  • he is an idiot- Pretty careless on his part to brag about what he did

  • The fuckwits who bought the NOTW and helped fund this cancerous culture must share some of the blame.

  • McMullen - disgraceful behaviour - that jibe about paxman's phone...jeez !!!!.how can he look at himself in the mirror ?

  • mcmullan dresses and looks like a tramp

  • why do the media feel they have the right to invade someones PRIVACY!!! Fair enough celebrities put themselves in the media spotlight which doesn't justify hacking their phones - but victims such as millie dowlers parents - how can Paul say they did nothing wrong by hacking their phone! disgusting!!!!

  • @Dill4387 exactly right -well said !

  • @Dill4387 They think it is their duty to uncover the grubby side of peoples lives and shine a light on any aspect of their character which may not be conducive to the image they present publicly. I'm pretty sure everybody does/says things in private they would be reluctant to share with the rest of the world and until that is taken into account and we stop celebrating the flaws of people who are simply being human, papers like TNOTW will continue to thrive.

  • Paul McMullan should never take up a career in PR. That was quite pathetic on his part.

  • [[McMullan......givim.a.doseof...RAT.POISON

  • The mentality of Alastair Campbell is even more frightening. He knows. A liar, disgusting.

  • The mentality of Paul McMullan is fucking frightening.... Ugh!!!

  • @AgentMcQueen I agree ... a total prick ... no morals ..... thinking he is above the law to earn his corn and keep his job. Wanker. Please NOW has gone down and now it is the Sun that will be crawling on its stomach doing these tricks. News Int has too much power !

  • @boum62 Agreed. I'm just thinking why is he acting the way he is now? Could it be the guilt of Jennifer Elliott's suicide? Either way, I agree with this comment on another video: "McMullen is a man struggling with himself right now. And rightly so."

  • @AgentMcQueen

    Indeed

  • @AgentMcQueen Probably widespread. Realistically pobably what most people would do in that job, as much as everyone would like to shake their head. In that position, doing that job, for that money, under those pressures for scoops, most people would. I admire his honesty.

  • @AgentMcQueen The man is astonishingly misguided.

He obviously thinks it was ok.

  • @AgentMcQueen agreed - I can't quite believe there are many people in the country with this warped amoral mentality!

  • @AgentMcQueen Yes, McMullen is obviously disgusting, but I'm glad he's doing these interviews and that he has such difficulty in hiding his character' - so we can all see exactly how disgusting all this is.

  • @AgentMcQueen One sleazy morally bankrupt assrat
