  • Hey man thats AMAZING can you tell me where to find a tutorial for the software setup.. visual pinball pinmame and hyperpin is way to much for me?! or is there a link to a complete package? if you can send me a personal massage.

    the totaly amazed cucumber

  • I don't even like pinball and I still think this is the coolest thing ever.

  • Ohhhh.... my wife would kill me. HAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha...... *eying the TV now....

  • Hello Please add link download hyperpin. Instalation tutorial and game uses. Thanks

  • Check out my pinball machines.

    watch?v=PhDmykjJ0ME&feature=related

  • How do you set the screen to be flat and just show the playfield?

  • @sadiepepper you need fullscreen 16:9 tables. there are always 4:3 common tables and 16:9 widescreen playfield tables.

  • This is awesome ... I have been looking just for a system like that!

  • you know, i've been wondering something crucial as the ULTIMATE virtual pinball experience...and that is: Why i don't even HEAR the metal ball rolling around?

  • @ithrowcatsatdogs I'm imagining your mom shutting up.

  • Now imagine this with an auto-stereoscopic, 3D HDTV, so that the table has the same depth as a real table.

  • dude this is fucked up!!! this is balshemy i think?

  • Hi

how to make the F4V videos or you can download the.

Would I be pleased about a message.

    German User

    Mfg. Olli

  • how about using a small hd lcd ...strip it down

put some strong lights behind it and one of those overhead lenzes in front...wouldn't that be less costly ?

just beam it ... instead of really freaky expensive tv's

    just a thought...

  • how do i get hyperpin to open visual pinball tables, whenever i try to open one it's looking for .fpt instead of .vpt thanks

  • Dreaming...That's how I get my BEST IDEAS.

Meanwhile, for That money, REAL pinball machines are where the Money is Better Spent My Friend.

  • BTW, real pinball machines that work don't sell for an average of 3500 or even 1500 USD. They sell for about 700-1200 and the more technical digitals may sell for about 1200-2000 tops with some exceptions. With the economy in the dumps, they are dropping in price daily.

  • Yeah, I guess its about time to strike on all the deals coming around now. Found a Road Show pinball machine thats in outstanding condition for a little under $2000. He might even lower the price for me too.

  • reshoot and turn off the auto focus

  • Real Pinball machines go for an average of $3500. So, I'm guessing this would be about $550......TOPS. I prefer Real Pinball though.....

  • @ozgood1x You are dreaming. When you consider the cost of the monitors it'll be more than $1000 depending on the size you go for. Most seem to use a 37" HDTV for the playfield and a 19" for the back glass. Some even use a smaller screen for the DMD/scoreboard so if you think you can make one of these for $550 be my guest.

  • Yeah but if this is build correctly you can install solenoids that give it the real feel. Plus you can play any pinball ever created.

  • friend here and Brazil Does anyone have this program worth

  • didn't understand that

  • let me know when 3d glasses work with this, i'll give myself a headache you wouldn't believe

  • Nice! Still not a real pinball machine.... :)

  • Where can I buy this?!? would this cost around 10,000??

  • This is selfmade. It's Just an big hd tv (maybe 40 ") and a standard screen on the end

  • thats way bigger than 40"

  • I would love to have something like this.. except have the screen mounted inside of an actual pinball table

  • I've got another question, is that a 16:9 or a 16:10 HD TV?

  • Tío, te ha quedado genial. Cuanto te costó en total, por curiosidad?

  • ~ 400$, probably. Maybe less, because the top screen is a 4:3 LCD screen for computers.

  • SHIT thats nice! i like that idea turing the LCD over like that!

  • how do you get it to diplay the full top view table like that?

  • How do you get the table to play music & animate it during preview?

  • I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Glad I'm not married.

  • Is this screen 16x10?

  • I think I might build one of these soon. Digital is the way to go, of course it will not be like the origional, just like a 2010 Camaro will not feel and drive like a 69 Comaro. Its a different time and a different cool new way of doing things. Lets just get used to it and have fun with it. I don't have any negativity against old or new. Both of it's ups and downs.

  • Anyone thought of making a mini one? maybe a 24" Play field and a 17 or 15" Back screen? I may just do it. a Table top pinball machine.

  • Hey, that's not a bad idea at all!

  • My plan is to get a 24" screen that has full swivel and rotation. That way I can use it for arcade games but also turn and tilt it to use with pinball as well. I'd be putting it in a MAME cabinet though.

  • no es por nada pero me gusta mas el pinball argentino .

  • NICE MAN!

  • that looks very nice!

  • This setup would be waaay cheaper than a real pinball... and more useful too! This frontend has officially be released.

  • i have a question...what monitor size did you used for the pinball table itself? and for the back panel?

  • Even pinball isn't safe from load times any more. :P

  • thats awesome

  • Yeah, That would be nice to have at home. :P

  • very cool

  • This+3d Screen=Awsomesauce :)

  • I just think the real pinball with actuall ball is coolest.. but if pinball was dead and this was all that was left id be cool with it

  • how do I switch between boards like that?

  • This has got to be like the 5th vide i've seen like this. pretty cool. haha I like yours the most. I can't wait to see more of your work

  • Innovative

  • This is INCREDIBLY awesome!

I agree that digital pinball will never replace the real thing, but, for one that has serious issues wielding a solder iron, this is a worthy substitute :)

  • But how do he controll the flippers? with the remotcontrol? if thats it then it suck!

  • No, He uses mind power of course.

  • No jackass, I thought he hade made some buttons on the Tv smart ass!

  • Wow, that is neat. But I mean, what about the vibrations the tilting? The sound when the ball hits the wall? The feed back when you hit the bumper weather or not it is digital or analog? This is all well and good but if I can shake it like a British nanny shaking a baby then I mean, where is the experience?

  • this is awesome, I wanna build one of these too. To the naysayers that say digital won't replace the real thing, there's only one pinball company left and they aint doing well. Pinball machines take a long time to design, and the maintenance is horrible. I prefer the real physical thing too, but digital is 95% true to the real thing, and if I can download tables for free and play them all in the same space, and not worry about stuck balls, I'm all for it.

  • Agreed!

  • crap, that thing cant ever replace the real thing.

  • digital pinball? not a good idea, i like to slam my pinball machines out of frustration.

  • Digital air hockey.

  • I can't wait for some digital ice cream as well

  • everything is turning digital. first books, now fuckin pinball? people don't want the real thing anymore? oh my god the world really is going to end!

  • i totally agree

  • It's not that people don't want the real pinball machines.. Have you tried to find a pinball machine lately? The good ones are hard to find and even if you do, you will end up paying upwards of $4000.00 for them. Of course this will never replace the real machines, but it's the next best thing and an great homage to classic pinball in general.

  • rubbish, this is the shit that is destroying the world, people trying to get as close to the real thing without it being real!!!. get a real pinball machine.

  • YEEA! see my profile - you'll [probably] like it!!! :) YEEAA!!

  • looks boring.

  • kellegi ajuvälgatus aga see on ju pask mida siin näidatakse!

  • LOL NOW this is the future form orginal pin ball to digital i like it .

  • so is the game's name future pinball?

  • Waste of the screen...

Its way more to actually see a real ball..

Some things are just more fun to play the old fashioned way

  • I reckon "the future of pinball" is gonna be: EXTINCT... thats just my point of view.. i know that a lot of people still enjoy the game.. but i dont know how long its got left, sorry but in this day and age people are moving on to other things.

  • Not true. It will be alive as long as people are into collecting, restoring, and playing them. There are still many people into this stuff. Just because something isn't produced by major companies doesn't mean the hobby is dead. Arcades have been dead for many years, but arcade cabinet restoration companies are thriving right now. Same thing with older game consoles.. they are living on through collectors (me), Virtual Console (Wii), Xboxlive Arcade (360) and PSN (PS3).. They all live on...

  • That video was cute. It's nice to see these kinds of videos once in a while. Lol

  • Now that would be great if the let you UPLOAD your fav vids.

Games & Vids go together, like Mac & cheese. :)

  • oh shit

  • i'd rather masturbate than play with that expensive ass machine

  • That was truly pathetic camerawork.

  • Yeah but it's compensated when you WATCH IN HQ

  • Should probably spend 10 dollars on a stand and not 5000 dollars on a future pinball machine.

  • lock in the focus so we can see the dam table

  • fyi there's no table

  • the real thing is better

  • I dunno about that, both wre equal cheaters the real one has magnets that can cheat and well that's electronic cheat, but still an awexsome idea and opens up a whole new world where they can take pinball and what they can do with it :)

  • Where's the love in this thing. One of my favorite parts of being in an arcade was the authentic pinball machines.

  • what a waste of a big tv

  • not necessarily. If this is put in a bar, or restaurant, it would make back the money it took to buy the tv in 2-3 weeks probably.

  • If you put it in a bar or restaurant, kids or drunken adults would probably break it in a few days.

  • digg, you hurt me today

  • why did digg send me here? I feel violated and hurt.

On the other hand this might be cool someday, so wake me up when it becomes that in which I have previously spoken.

  • very nice, how much?

No really, how much does this beastly machine cost?

  • wild.

  • what the fuck is a "digg"?

  • Wow, I want one!!

  • digg brought me here....this fucking sucks...this sucks...

  • hi Digg.

  • looks sweet man

  • I am here because of Digg.

  • who gives a fuck???

  • thats insane

  • definitely needs legit flippers

  • Cool system, but somebody needs a little more time working with cameras.

  • very impressive, but waaaaaaaaaaay the f*ck too complex.

you need the display to reflect reality, not phantasms. the ballpark is too hard to follow.

    ciao.

  • Digg Effect....

  • How the hell did you... but you cant just... Thats not... What the fuck!

  • We're sorry - this video was too awesome to remain on YouTube.

  • looks cool but a real pinball will always be better

  • graphically great and cool idea but I think without the flipper buttons on the side It just won't feel close enough to the real thing.

  • Shaky camera which doesn't focus on the action, slow 30 second loading times, and undefined control schemes ... I think I'd rather play this on a computer, and just tilt the 24" screen 90 degrees ...

  • Predator themes music FTW

  • cool

  • What's with 0:50 to 1:20?

  • Take off the god damned auto focus. Is this your first day?

  • WHAT THE FUCK???? THATS ONE OF THE MOST AWSOME THINGS I EVER SEEN. now thats next gen pinball there great work. welcome to new school pinball.

  • The quality is amazing!

  • Thats awesome, how much did this set up cost??

  • very cool! cant wait to see these out in the wild

  • Either that or you are just a moron, kill yourself fuckboy.

  • Very cool tech, and I'd love to have one of these setups at home. That said, when I'm out at a bar or an arcade I'm always going to prefer the real ones.

  • Freakin fuckin great awesomeness.

  • lol at the vista bar on the side :)

  • Yes, it's running on a regular PC... He's testing the software in this video. Once it is in his dedicated cabinet that he is building for it then windows will be completely hidden.

What part of tech demo do people not understand?

  • ....Really???? I'm so shocked, I had nooooo idea this was running on a regular pc, I thought it was pure magic!

  • That's beyond sick! F'n awesome!

  • That's awesome!

  • great focus!

  • I want this.

  • Cool tech demo, but you could probably buy a dozen pinball machines for what this setup cost, and have more fun with them.

  • I'm sure the widescreen HDTV costs less than any *one* mid to late nineties Williams pinball. And there are games running on Future Pinball that do not exist in real life.

  • No way in hell... I have a late 60's EM machine that someone has offered me more than what a setup like this would cost me to build. The 40" 1080p Samsung 530 LCD in the video was about $500 purchased as a return after the Super Bowl. A 22" computer LCD can be picked up fairly cheap... I think my daughters was $130 when I got it. So, that's about $700 on the screens... Add another $1000 to build the cabinet and computer and that's only around $2000.

  • Pinball machines cost $1500-5000 each. While the LCD TV monitor itself may be fairly expensive, the whole thing could probably be built for less than the price of a single popular pinball machine. Even building a good quality MAME arcade machine would costs $1200 or so in just materials.

This seems to be a very good proof of concept.

  • Pinball machines tend to go for $1500-5000 for popular, good quality machines; so your statement is quite a bit off.

  • ...and what kind of pinball machines have YOU been looking at?!

I'm pretty sure this is a large fraction less in cost than a dozen pinball tables.

  • How can you afford this, but not afford a tripod?

  • This was an impromptu video of a proof of concept for the frontend software...

  • awesome job :) keep up the good work although i do prefer the actual pinball machines rather then virtual :P

  • Theres about 30 seconds of usefull capture in the 4 min clips, grow up !!!!

    Waste of time, FAIL!

  • No, you fail.

The idea was to demo the hardware and the setup, not watch him play the damn thing for 4 minutes, it's MEANT to show its finctionality.

  • Actually, this video was done to demo the SOFTWARE that is being used to select and navigate the tables. It is called a FRONTEND and is used to be a user interface between the cabinet that these screens will eventually be installed into, the computer running the software, and the simulation (Future Pinball) software.

  • That's what I was implying with the functionality side of it, but like I said, he's showing the whole set up as one, not just some video of a guy playing Future Pinball for 4 minutes...THATS the point I was making ^_^

  • Yeah, because everyone wants to see a 4 minute video of how dynamite works and not even see the building get blown to shit.

  • I was just implying that you guys could be a tad better with the camera. But cool setup and testing, I must give you that!

  • how is he controling it?

  • Right now with just a keyboard... Eventually he will be interfacing the computer with a keyboard encoder and using a plunger and arcade buttons.

  • Would the guy using the camera please kill himself, or let someone else operate it.

  • Pinball is so oldschool... I haven't really seen any machines in a while, and I don't think that the consumer market would take interest in this. Still looks freaking awesome though.

  • how is it cool?

  • wow, looks amazing. very nice.

  • Looks great! Fuck the haters.

  • where's the part where he plays pinball?

  • Starts at 1:40

  • If you want gameplay video then search for Future Pinball... HyperPin is NOT the software that runs the simulation. HyperPin is the table launcher software that is being used to select and launch the table.

  • Visual Pinball + Vpinmame is the way to go. Way more real tables recreations available. Future pinball does have promise though.

  • GHEY!!!!!

  • Wow, alot of you people are idiots... This video is just a proof of concept and is focused on the frontend that is being developed by the creator of HyperSpin. HYPERPIN This is NOT a gameplay video as there are hundreds of them online.

This screen setup is a temporary setup and a fullsize cabinet is being built.

  • A lot of people are going on about "someone with too much time on their hands" or "what a loser" or "retarded" but I can personally say this sort of thing will probably make masses of millions of dollars and influence arcades to use HD displays for various purposes, supposing this guy patents this...

  • This video should be titled:

"How to make something that's ultracool look ultra lame"

  • i love the name of the machine: big spender pinball lol

  • How soulless. I would play my cyclone pinball machine over this any day.

  • rofl

  • retarded

  • How am i gonna put my drink on the class? and how can we tilt it? haha

  • Oh my god please please please pass this idea on to Williams.

  • dont u have frds to hold the camera ?

  • we're talking about a person who's set up their hdtv as a pinball machine here, remember. Not exactly the hobby of mr popular now is it?

  • atleast he used his TV for something other than watching bullshit television like your fat ass.

  • Rofl true dat
