so it did run games fine? cept the noise. the noise is actually a loose part just above the center plastic spinner on the dvd drive. a 10 min fix. glad mine still works so i can play backsups. new one's u cant (w/ in the last 1.5 - 2 years they updated the hardware so u cant)

yeah that happened to my wii about 6 months in it worked fully then for 2 years and now my disk drive is staring to scratch disks and isn't loading them properly and when it does it's louder than my 360 and last night when it scratched my tos 2 disk now I'm pissed

dang, my wii is out of warranty...I heard if you ship it to nintendo, if it's out of warranty, they can take up to 8 weeks to fix it, and even then it's not always fixed...Imma take it apart and try to fix it myself I guess...plus to send it in, it'll cost me $75 not counting shipping. xP

hmmm dose the game show up??? if so press eject then use tweezers to take the game out. btw put some type of rubber pad on the ends of the tweezers so it dont scratch tha disc. grip better to.

if it is light orange it means it is on, but it is really off... for instance, if its red, if u put a USB Wii remote cahrger in the USB ports it wont turn on if its a red light, but if its a orange light, it will come on and work as if it was turned on..

the wii is meant to make buzzing sounds its called the game whizzing round .very very loud buzzing sounds are maybe a issue.but wii sounds are only bad when its is grunting or sounding as tho it is stopping and starting / jerking sounds.

It maybe that u haven't 'sync' ur remote to the console! Press the red button on wii, and I think at the same time, press the red button on wii remote! You will know it's done cause a blue light will come on & stay on, on the bottom of the remote!! Hope that helps. ^_^

Ive had my wii for over a year, i have 11 virtual console games. I rang up today and told them about the pixel problem i have, they are sending me a prepaid label and i need to send it in for repair. They will do it for free, and they can keep your vc games apparently, but u need to back up ur save data urself

No, i rang up when the label came to ask a couple questions before i sent it. I asked about save data because one of my games wouldnt back up (because of the friend code system) and they said they try their best to look after your save data, but you should back it up to an SD card just incase something happens. Also, what was wrong with your wii? Mine had black pixels coming across the screen all the time xD
