I noticed that you had some of those mini linear acuators, and I was wondering if you would recommend the Lego backhoe loader ? Also,do you have any plans for a 8x8 vehicle ? Because I haven't seen you build one yet.
@CODzombiesforIpod Well, it's a nice set but if you are just looking for the mini LAs, it's cheaper to buy them separately. I've built some 8x8 long time ago and yes, I have plans for another - check the Future Projects section at my website.
@jhsevs No offence, but I've seen people using mods like this one roughly a week after this remote was available on the market. At least half of the TrTr drivers use it. I've been using it for at least one year.
Wonderful!!! I like very much the suspension of the steering because you didn't need to use the cardanics that there are in 8070. Can you post building instruction for steering?
@0jesse10397 You see, there are bonus points for a steering wheel that rotates together with the steering system, and it was a bit difficult to connect it to it mechanically.
@searme The reason for the bending is probably because:
- at 0:47 you can see that the top pivot point for the steering is coming out, causing negative camber.
-the steering arm has an axle between where it connects with the ball joint and the portal hub which I'm guessing twists a fair amount when under strain, causing loss of toe control on the tires.
