No. Jay Leno was the regular Friday host of the Tonight Show from 1987 until Carson's retirement. For the last several years of his reign Carson took Fridays off, and Joan Rivers was his original Friday host (until she helped launch Fox in 1986).
@Chowchillah Um, just need to correct you on your choice of words there as Friends and Frasier weren't cancelled, they simply ended their runs. Cancellation means the ratings were low and they were pulled off the air. Friends and Frasier were heavily hyped that it would be their last season that year and both were still highly rated shows.
I'm hoping they do,too.I think i watch more shows on their network than the rest.I can hardly watch CBS with their crime dramas,ABC has too many shows with romantic scenes,and FOX is...better at their "Animation Domination".
@faysal21adigun Agreed 100% TV nowadays (and I'm gonna offend many of you who still watch regular TV) IMO sucks all around it's that NBC Sucks worse than the other 4 networks but ABC is goddamn over sexed ( Mickey Mouse himself Could'nt pay me enough Ca$h to watch Abominable Housewives, or Grayed Anatomy) C-BS's crime dramas are getting old and FOX is full of been here done that ditto for CW

NBC was thrown into 4th place in 2004 thanks to the cancellations of Friends and Frasier. Let's hope there's something that will make them #1 again.
