I Really like Gaga, but she is looking a whole lot like Madonna mid 80's. The leather jacket, the voice, the hair. I mean people claim she is so unique, yet she is a collage of all that has been done, repackaged and drilled onto people by the media. Gaga isn't unique.

Anyway, as you said PEOPLE claim that she's original, but she never has.

Gaga is always open about her influences. She's not completely original (I'd struggle to name many artists now that are), but she's also not the copycat that brings absolutely nothing new.

To me, she's always seemed like a pick n' mix revivalist more than anything :)

But I'm not really against her..I'm against her media and fans who praise her "originality". And she isn't always open, there are many people who have inspired her, who she failed to mention, and I really don't think she brings anything new, she just has the money to do it.

I think she does, to mainstream pop at least. Everything was pretty normal in the last 10 years before she came around. Her music is nothing new, but her videos and performances are, well to me at least :)
