i remember when i did this last summer dam was i mad i almost flipped my jeep cuz the whole left side went completley in and the right side was half way up a giant rock but sick time sick time gotta love em jeep
jeeps are way over rated, maybe i forgot to tell you that i used to own a jeep, NOT ANY MORE, I WAS SICK AND TIRED OF GETTING STUCK, i bought myself a defender and hey presto, i dont get stuck anymore, but i still rescue jeeps from time to time.
@fantomfarter Oh please, stop your bullshit man!! Either you are a severe newb or just plain stupid, seriously, how could you say that one will get stuck more than another on the same size tires?? I wheel with the Land Rover group here all the time, my buddy has a barn full...Yes they work well but I'm not going to be an asshole and say that one is better than another but I do know this, your little Rover wouldn't stand a chance following my Jeep!!
@fantomfarter I don't understand why you hate on one brand of 4x4. We're all on the same team, we like to get out there and have fun. I own a jeep and a Chevy k5 and both have pros and cons, as does any other 4x4. Point I'm trying to make is that all 4x4s will get stuck at some point if you take them offroading and If you're stuck I'll pull you out, I don't care what rig you got I just hope if I get stuck you'd do the same for me.
those vehicles wouldnt live with a landrover or rangerover............So what???? you travelled down a muddy path, big deal ,LETS PUT IT INTO 4WD MY ASS, LMFAO
@fantomfarter And who said this was supposed to be hardcore wheeling, it was just a drive in the woods, the pick up trucks are NOT off-road machines, they are stock 4X4 with street tires....
You know what would make me LMFAO?? Your piece of Landrover trying to follow my Jeep, better get ya a tow truck to stand by at the end of the trail so when I pull you out you can get home...Now that would be funny to see!!
I had a 1989 one ton W350 Ram. The wife complained that as a family of 4 there wasn't enough room for her in the cab. I sold it and she bailed out on us and we were again a family of 3.
If I had known she was going to bail out on us I would have kept that truck.
Even got it in the June of 1997 4Wheel & Off Road when they did an article on "50 Readers Rides. A Real World 4X4 From Every State."
I now drive a 1948 CJ-2A and a big old 1984 Government Surplus One Ton 4WD Diesel Van.
Yes that's the same red ZJ that I tipped over at last years Jamboree...it's my wifes ZJ...lol
Not sure how much video I will have of the "Pirateship" rebuild..but with pictures and a small amount of video I will prolly put something small together...
They're model codes, used by Jeep to distinguish between the differences in model years and platforms. For example, "Wrangler" has been around from 1987 through today, but there have been three distinctly different vehicles marketed under that one label: YJ, TJ, and currently JK. Search Wikipedia for "List_of_Jeep_vehicles" for more info on what each code means.
Pirate, you definetly got the best off road vidz on this website. I must inquire though, what does TJ and ZJ and all that mean? I know its a jeep thing but I;m pretty much new to all this.
That's my wifes ZJ...We took the front coils and put them in the rear, installed 4.5" Rockkrawler coils, Adjustable Rockkrawler trac bar and a relocation bracket for the rear trac bar, Skyjacker Nitro shocks, Adjustable upper and lower BDS control arms...Rolling on the new 31" Cooper STT's
I like all the rigs, especially the Cherokee and grand Cherokee :) Oh and bye the way i drive a 89 Cherokee what lifts and tires do you recommend ?

Wasn't that red ZJ involved in a tip-over last year? Some man driving it said it was his wife ZJ ;-)
How is the new build of the PirateShip coming along? Do you plan on doing a "The making of PirateShip II" video?
