  • anyway if people doesnt accept me i have no choice i accept my life

  • my life i spent at home huh i would love to overcome it

  • I have a good "shame" attack to do. I went into a large book shop. I saw that one of the women working there was really attractive. So I went up the the till where she was and asked where can I find the section with the sex manuals and Kama Sutras. In a loud enough voice to make sure the people in the queue behind me could hear. Thinking now of something I could do which would top that. Any ideas. Like the videos by the way.

  • lol my face would have been frozen if i was standing on a chair xD

  • ha that's an awesome approach to exposure.

  • I've always wondered what the mindset is for people who are courageous towards things like shame attacks.

What goes through your head when you do things like standing on your seat?

  • I get anxious in the canteen at work. I feel like everyone is looking at me. I dont know why i get like that, but it makes me feel uncomfortable. The same when i go into a crowded place i get it.

  • Whenever I look for help for my social anxiety, I only see negativity. You are so brave for doing something about this instead of just sitting back and taking it like a lot of us! You're very good looking too, if that helps :p

  • nice vid I like the exposure idea ,,, think I will give it a try............

  • lol!! At first I thought your cat was a statue

  • @ilovepizzaforever07 lol too true

  • @ilovepizzaforever07 haha!! oo my it looked just like a statue for a sec

  • I too have social anxiety...thanks man. You are an inspiration!

  • god at least u got the balls to make a video - good on you!

ive suffered the same dreadful and debilitating illness for the last 20 years, the last 10 have been particularly draining, i dont see / talk to anymore than maybe 10 people a week.

i am not living just merely existing.

  • hey bro i've been watchin your vids since the old days.

I just want to say that just putting yourself out there is a great thing. I mean, ppl like me searcging for others like myself would be that mucfh more lost if not for your courage and efforts.

Finally, I just wanted to share the lessons I've learnt from dealing with SA, and thats basically that we can't just go through life being anonymous. EVERY SINGLE THING TAKES EFFORT. I'm on the mend and I see you are to :) Good hunting!

  • in front of the entire school!! I think that would have devestated me so bad that i prob never would have even finished highschool

  • hey i wanted to comment on one of your previous videos where you passed out in class. My felt like my anxiety was increasing just listening to you describe the situation haha. The same thing alsmot happened to me actually. I was in the highschool gym and the whole school was in there for an awards assembly. I was so nerved up and anxious that they might call my name that I got this horrible panick attack, prob the worst in my life. I'm almost positive if they called me up i would have passed out

  • Well done :) seriously well done. I am 17 and have had social anxiety since i was 11 and since then my life has been spent mostly at home. You're an inspiration, thank you for sharing your videos with us :)

  • Good to see you are challenging your SA.

  • dude, you are doing really well, good achievements. liked the bench thing a lot. totally understand the anxiety about walking into a pub or restaurant, but they can be fun i found out. good that you take some time to reinforce that nothing bad actually happened, helps to change the brain a little. big ups

  • Mark, just want to say thanks for doing the videos. Helps to not feel alone ;-) Have recently found new techniques in dealing with anxiety and if you want to get in touch, I'd be happy to share the info as a way of thank you back.

    Cheers Man ;-)

  • I appreciate your videos. That would be an expossure for myself. Thanks

  • I love how you included those photographs in your video! I'm pretty far away from being able to stand on a chair in public, but maybe I'll attempt that one day. Cheers, mate :-)

  • I love your cats!

  • hey! keep it up man, I'm gonna try doing some exposure as well, but...I'm still not that brave as you haha...chickening out, let's see

  • ★★★★★!

  • Wow--how brave!!!! (standing up on the bench). I have to send you a youtube that for some reason popped into my head --- its calmness under pressure *(and the example is given by a cat). This is something we can strive for. I'll post it on the next comment.

  • Should of grabbed yah crotch and screamed while u were on the bench to maybe have it act as an MJ tribute haha xP.

  • Dude, you are my fucking hero, respect!

  • I thought your cat was a statue at first :p

And way to go!! :D Good job! Keep it up! You did really well :)

  • good job man, keep it up!

  • Never stop. You will beat this! We all will.

  • I have been watching your videos for a while now and I have to say how incredibly proud of you I am for going into therapy and doing these exposures! Keep it up! You can beat this!

  • glad to see you pushing forward and fighting this bitch in the ass. even just making the videos outside could be anxiety provoking but you got it down!

  • champion

  • Good work on doing all these things. Keep it up.

  • Your an inspiration to me mate :)

  • Are you being honest? Courageous!

  • Good job keep it up.

Hope you can gain something from the therapy.

  • You certainly deserve encouragement and support after you do these exposures - they are so brave!!! I love it. And that standing on a chair thing was a great idea :D . I'm gonna try some exposures tomorrow. Good luck and looking forward to ur next vid

  • you drink beer alot XD

  • Good work. If your keep going like this the SA will soon be gone, hopefully.

  • No problem. :D

I have the same problem as you. And whenever you put up a new video I make sure to check up on ya. I can already see a bit of a difference...if you look back on your older videos. Do you feel any different? Or is it all still just as strong?

Next time you should combine two of your exposures you have done. Why not stand on a chair and yell,"Does anyone have the time?". haha. Just an idea. I would have trouble working myself up to do that as well.

  • Hey,

    Great vid.

Been to Chelmsford before, meself. I recognized the spots in your photos. Not a bad place :).

I admire your guts, fight and determination in carrying out these daily tasks.

    Good luck, man :).

  • lol, I thought your cat was a statue for a second there. Good work on your progress, your therapist is pretty intense making you do 3 exposures every day, I don't think I'd be able to handle that. Anyways, keep up the vids :)

  • Wow, nice work! I don't know if I could just walk up to a chair in a public place and stand on it... How did you feel while/after doing that? Did anyone ask you what the hell you're doing? Haha.
