my granddad took me to some of the games, the year that they won the 68 world series. i remember like yesterday, they was playing the orioles, and the orioles had a 4 to 1 lead, in the bottom of the 9th inning, and with bases loaded, tommy matchick hit a grand slam home run in the upper deck to win 5 to 4.
OBTW: i lives in baltimore, but granddad lived in detroit
how old was it ? when my old football ground (in england) which was called Burnden Park closed at the age of 102 in 1997 they had a auction to sell off everything in the ground and after the last match people just took everything, then the demolition team moved in and showed the poor old place no mercy i know a lot of bolton fans did not want to move but we hadd no money as a club so they could not renavate it which I wished they had done
Sometimes buildings have to be torn down but I think its a bit of a bad decision. I don't know about you guys but I think buildings like this just be preserved and renovated but I don't know much about this kind of stuff though.
Uh, white lake is 20 minutes out of the city if you're driving 200 mph, maybe! I know people are trying to make it seem as though they are actual detroiters by creeping their actual homes closer to it, but c'mon.
The guy said they would save the frot of the stadium and the pressbox but they never di WTF!!!!

it isn't decided yet that part of it will be saved. One side is being saved until next year and will be demolished if money isn't raised for it.
