how do you boost n tropy when you slide, you always get a big boost a couple of times in each slide?

You press the other ~1 button.

Say you're holding L1 to perform the slide, you would press R1 to obtain the boost.

If you look in the lower right corner of the screen, every time I slide, a bar fills up (the horizontal one). You will only slide if you press the button in the region it's Red, before that you won't gain anything.

Hope that makes sense.

I have defitinely stopped playing CTR.

My best times are todays world records, and I can do nothing to improve, once I broke my CD's and I won't return.

TOTAL=1:14:90, without last propulsion at 2nd lap. You can watch the ghost of it in my video.

LAP=23:61, in my video, I show a technique for sub 23:50.

SL=26:10, dumbdog2010 has the same SL.

I remember thinking my times were good back in the day, and now pretty much everyone who plays at any level can beat them XD. Come back in a few years, and people will have found more glitches and shortcuts to get round in about 10 seconds :P.

If you mean on the big shortcut, I only actually touch the ground twice, and it's only when you're in contact with the ground it slows you down. The jumping retains the speed very effectively.

Hey, yes you should be able to, there are 2 ways to do it, one way's by cheating the other's the real way.

Either beat his ghost in Time Trial mode on every single track.

Or, at the main menu screen, Hold L1 and R1 and press: Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Right, Right (On the Direction Pad). You should hear a sort of chime to tell you you got it right.

26:60 (big SC in the SL is impossible)

24:18 (awesome lap in course)

missed!

And new lap in course:

27:70 (I lost Sacred Fire in the mini SC)

23:95 (my best is 23:91)

Excellent, as I said in the comments, it's not my shortcut, but very well done on the new WR. I thought this would come in handy. Now it's time for someone to hit this on the final 2 laps, I've done it twice in one circuit once, so I'm sure other people will be able to do it much more reliably. Good Luck and happy racing.

Not to me, but I haven't played this game for like 7 or 8 months. I got over the hump on the starting lap once, but it was significantly slower than the normal route.

I would like to see proof of this time, as if this is true then you have broken a world record. Although if you have put on the Super Turbo Pad's cheat, noone's gonna care I'm afraid. Records are done without any cheats (excluding Penta Penguin).

Yeah, unfortunately when I filmed this I sucked at the rest of the lap, although my start shortcut was excellent. My best is now 24.31, wasn't on film though, had to put the playstation back on my TV.

omg. if SC is so much fast. i'll explain why. when coming out of the SC you got 8:20, CTF said that when he got the WR lap he had 8:50 coming out of the SC. so u can get the WR here, but u need to improve you technique. watch videos
