  • interesting video. Love this song! Underworld is awesome ^.-.^

  • dope stuff! greetings from cali!

  • Wow. Karl Hyde rapping is odd. Good song though, quite unique for Underworld.

  • luv it walking around romford

  • hit the 45 button and mix it at 128BPM, a bit chipmunk but sick track

  • hit the 45 button and mix it at 128BPM, a bit cipmunk but sick track

  • for me this is up there with underwolrd best

  • the coolest thing in the history of cool

  • sounds like the streets

  • Karl rapping LOL

  • Hi! Please have a listen to our latest track!

    Thanks!

  • "Get in get out get whatcha want get out" + "i found a new door, didn't know where it went, i went through it..." = those guys really have a natural feeling for words and rythm! Hip hop hardly matches this!

  • Coolness.

  • And this is why I'm an fan. The lyrics+video! Superb!

  • Something's not OK. Emerson left about 10 years ago. Since then they've only released 2 CD's, mediocre RiverRun materials , and leftovers form the bottom of the vault. The band's running on fumes and it seems they are more comfortable with creating artsy pictures and writing daily journals than composing quality music. We'll be lucky if a new albums released by 2015.

  • @antaabel actually their new album is out this year, and i think PARC and BETWEEN STARS tells you the band will have something awesome to show =] Well at least i hope so.

  • You forgot to mention, we'd be fools to hope for a good one too.

  • @antaabel well I saw them a few weeks ago and I have been listening to some recent stuff and that is not right, your view is valid, but I think they are coming back to being techno dance masters again. Just my view, we can't all remain in the past. And they play a lot of Emerson stuff at their gigs, what more can be asked for?

  • tomato uk, the interaction and visual design studio

  • Whoever is behind the graphics and visual production of Underworld are simply superb.

  • @designinsight Isn't it that "Tomato" chap?

  • Isn't Karl one of those Tomato chaps? :)

  • I adore this song <33

  • This song is massively tripping.. Sounds like a track from Massive Attack.

  • Once again this guys dealing with this pathetic society, crying for the supreme and true. Love this!

  • Loving underworld! Found this amazing competition too!

    townsend-records[dot]co[dot]uk/Underworld

  • 1 year later, and I still love it.

  • Karl just never ceases to make me laugh. NEVER.

I love this song sooooo much! Great quirky video. Haha~!

  • very catchy

  • love the song and the vid. at first the vid was kinda lame and boring but as i stare more into it, its hypnotic. loved it.

  • what the hell is that bullshit??!

  • I really like the synth sound there at 3:05 that's not on the album

  • it's a good tune for me

    tumbs up

  • I know, I know....don't compare them.....but damn. Faaaarrr too much like Bruce Lee.

  • prefer this one to the remixes

  • sucks...

  • Probably the worst tune they've done!

  • its certainly not the best but that doesn't mean its necessarily not still great !! :-)

  • people are squinting to block out the sun

    complaining or soaking it up

praying for rain the next minute

    for a scorched earth

    what's it worth

    enough is never

    enough

    let's have a little moan

    put the world to right

sit back and watch it all slide by

  • the chorus is class!

  • @goodsirknight it isn't a chorus. It's quite a new instrument: talking stick created by 'Laurie Anderson'

  • laidback luke remix is MUCH better!!!

  • nice, very nice

  • ma quanto fa schifo sto video????

  • Don't get me wrong, I love underworld but this just reminds me too much of stuff like The Streets. I know Underworld were there first doing these sort of lyrics (urban rambling) but this song makes them look like they're copying rather than leading.

Love some of the other tracks on the album though. 'To Heal' is the most sublime track I've heard in years. It's truely beautiful. I'd love to hear a beated dance remix version of it.

  • I think Underworld wasn't trying to be original with this song. Its kind of a piss-take on UK rap, just like Born Slippy was a parody of club music (like giant, mega-clubs) of that era.

  • Underworld Rulezzz, All of their songs are epical and this one is just awesome!

    Long Live Underworld :)

  • you got that right 100%

  • This song is okay but the video does not really work IMHO.

Try listening to it without watching the video.

I'll give it up for trying something new but I still think the video is kinda weird.

  • i love this song! insightful musings to an awesome beat

  • I dig Underworld a lot. I like the groove and the jam but the lyrics in this song are horrible, just horrible.

  • This is definitely a London thing. If you're an Underworld fan that can't get into this tune, I suggest that you were never really an Underworld fan: perhaps it was just the pills? Excellent tune, from one of their finest albums. Can't wait for the next one!

  • VERY GOOOD !!!!!!!!

  • nah this really is fairly shit

the fake blood mix is fucking sick though

  • I'm American and a big fan of Underworld. I love this song. This video has me staring at the tip of the guy's nose the whole time. It's like the camera stays centered there. How do they to that? Used computer editing in post?

  • i dunno man, but this shit is totally trippy. been watchin this for the last 15 mins..

  • I wish I had written this...it's pure genius...sweet vid also...I love the chorus (if you call it a chorus in this genre). It can very easily relate to 'life' in Australia. Long live UK.

  • No one can call this crap Its a style a rap that not alot of people under stand . People like me who live in areas like this will like this song ,Mabe you should go to england or Dublin one day and if you then lisen to this song and you just migth understand.

  • this one reminds me on THE STREETS ..its cool i like it

  • 1st comment you see on this video now = this one.

This song is shite. Sorry, guys. It really is...bad. And don't give me any of that 'in your iopinion' crap. This is just poor.

  • I think you are crap if you can't feel this..

The lyrics just describe scenes, views of people and thing, quite recognizable even for listeners who have never been in the place(s) he talks abaout...

Don't think the vid really matches the song though..

  • I know what they describe - it's just that the song is piss poor! I could describe a place that people have never been in before and put a beat behind it. Good song? NO!

The vid is great. Especially the end. As in, when it's ended.

  • Not good, Underworld do rave music and dance, not hip hop.

  • So now you decide what kind of music Underworld is supposed to make?

Make your own rave & dance, shitty whiner..

  • musing to harmonies...cool beats, awesome

  • Fucking banging tune.

  • I wonder how drunk he was when he wrote the lyrics for this tune. It's usually how Karl does it.

  • top shite...

  • top class track!

  • I really didn't think I'd end up liking Oblivion with Bells, but it's gradually growing on me. This track alone has helped me appreciate/enjoy it more.

  • You know dance music is dead when Underworld go hip hop.

  • what? this is hip hop? is it more hip hop than "bruce lee" off of beaucoup fish? you don't know what you're talking about.

  • jajajajajaajaja IDIOT!!!

  • beautiful track

  • whats the beat named?? I heard it on a program and also in the game 'pandemic 2' and i can't find it..

  • the laidback luke mix is better

  • Much better!

  • alle goede namen waren zeker weg XD ja klopt veeeeel beter maar deze is ook wel grappig :P

  • ja die -eg kon er niet meer op :( :p

  • That's just a fucking insult

  • Fantastic song and storical group! Good!!!

  • this is so good, that i can not describe, i wish more of these. i would call it a masterpiece of modern trip-hop

  • at first i found it quite boring, but the same was with 'bruce lee' - quite similar to 'ring road'. and now i love this track so much :)

  • why did they make 2 videos?

  • this song grows on you, but always has an awkward feel to the verses. but thats just karl. ;)

good video though, i was just complainign in boyboyboy how all the UW videos have been really boring for a while, but this one was really viewable!

  • I love it :)

  • This is good, it's not like their old classic material, but it's a nice direction, and the chorus is sooo damn good!

  • If you enjoy it try to listen to Laidback Luke's Remix .

  • It's not a particularly good song, but an important component of Oblivion.

  • I can't say I took to the opening lyrics or the sound of the intro but the beat and chorus is just brilliant. This must be an edited version because the keys on the last chorus was just as good as on the album.

Nice mention of West Ham too. :-)

  • wasn't too crazy about oblivion, but this song is actually pretty catchy

  • Karl Hyde always makes me smile & dance...:)

  • Yes,i agree,it does have a Massive Attack aftertaste; but it's ok. I believe that the days of new and good music are over.

The album Oblivion with bells,is a good album, but nothing new. I do love Underworld,though....

  • This is so terrible and derivative, it makes me want to turn away. Massive Attack's Protection was over a decade ago. And it was good instead of being complete bollocks.

  • comparing things - not so cool. either enjoy it or not, move on.

  • another very good track of the new album, although i slightly prefer the similar "Holding The Moth"

  • This song is all about the ringroad in Romford. Lovin' it.
