I defeated all the AIs you can defeat including the pairings and what not, all except Senel, whom you need to defeat to get the Ninja class. I went in and out of Gavada like more than a million times just to get the quest, but nooooooooo... I never get it.

@XnagarekidaX You have to be a LV 30 or above fighter and then looke for the quest where you fight Senel.

I think not even Namco knows the exact number of versions of Take up the Cross :D I mean, there are first tons of versions of Tales of Phantasia itself, then the cameo appearances, then in the Tales of the World games ... :D

whenever I think of ToE I think of the cameo battle in ToA. I love the characters you have to fight, but I hate fighting Reid.

I remember when I first got this game and fought Reid. I almost cried because his sword rain alpha - rending tiger blade combo.kept killing me.

I was knocking it? I just remembered Tales of Symphonia, and Legendia, and how piss easy they were because all you needed to do was buy fucktons of life bottles.

I still need to finish Legendia, come to think of it.

(I don't care what anyone says about Legendia, it was awesome, BECAUSE it was so terrible. I went into it expecting torturously bad writing, and instead got hilariously bad writing.)

ToE has got to be one of my favourite tales of games. That probably has something to do with the fact that it was the first tales game i played. I still heve yet to get a copy of tales of symphonia. the cheapest i can find it for is £60...

It´s on SNES, GBA or PSP. I always prefered the SNES version cuz it´s not censored and they don´t speak english in battle, only japanese, and of course english text.

Censored? You mean in English? That's because it's an unofficial patch and they CHANGED a lot of stuff. The game was never like that and they even changed important names and stuff.

Also you forgot the PS1 remake (which now has a working English patch) with a lot more content than the SNES.

The GBA version, the only one officially translated, sucks.
