It is out of angst & discontent that many great expressions of virtue have come. Smiling & loving what is is easy when circumstances permit it. An important & comforting point to this is that it is not all up to one's self & one's own interpretations. Influences outside of one's control too make up the world, & ignoring them is not always best. Why try to change anything about the world if it's oneself that needs dusting? The world is just fine then! (& creator vs. victim is a false dichotomy)
In the moments when one doesn't feel optimistic about the world, is it really appropriate to say s/he is "unplugged & needs to plug back in"? Whatever that means, it entails that when one isn't feeling great this feeling is somehow disconnected from the world. But isn't there room for feeling bad about the world & having very adequate reasons for feeling this way? If no, this version of optimism quickly becomes a form of ignorance (is bliss). Don't you think this is an overgeneralization?

Always enjoy watching your journal vids. Especially loved the " lint on the projector's lens" reference in this one.
