those do sound good. just to double check, this video is without the baffles in correct? it may have already been said and i just missed it. all the talk about how easy it is to take out the baffles makes me think this video is without the baffles in.
i should add i dont know what this cobra fuel processor is but you need to put a new jet in your bike if it has a carb, the new pipes will have much more air flow and from the factory the bikes are set kind of lean. you can burn your valves due the the bike now running much more air and not enough gas for the extra air. your air fulel mixture needs to be set correctly. that is why you need to rejet the bike
a lot of guys say even putting a k&n air filter in needs requires a new jet.
just curious how loud are these in person with the baffles in on a scale of 1-10 and with the baffles out on a scale of 1-10 say 1 being stock and 10 being one of those bikes the go down the road that just scream., i want more noise but not rediculous loud noise. i would say probably about twice the volume pof the stock pipes would be my ideal sound..
i want something in the middle enough to be heard but not enough to bust your ears out.
Exactly what model pipes did you buy? I have looked on a couple of different sites and don't see the same pipes you have on. I have a 2008 c50c and would love to put your pipes on my bike.
I got those from Harbers cycle, on the invoice it says Cobra Drag Pipes # 3267. Harbers cycle phone number is 870-458-2939. If I can help in any other way let me know.
Thanks alot!!! I am debating between the Streetrod Slashdowns and the drag pipes like yours!! Decisions LOL!! I love the sound out of both. The drag pipes are 100 dollars cheaper.
Hey I went to Harbers cycle it will take you to ebay, and on the second page they have the same pipes the number is #3267, If you need some more help just email me back will be glad to help.
Thanks a bunch for the info. I went with the streetrod slash downs. They were 100 dollars more but same sound just a differnet look and supposed ly a tad louder.. I took the baffles out. Your were right one screw holds them in what a piece of cake compared to debaffling the stock pipes with just dont sound great no matter what you do to them.
These cobra pipes are just pure BADASS. Talk about a bike growling that says "Hey Look at Me" I went down the road and was like HOLY SH*T!!!!! Thanks for your help they are worth every penny!!!!!
Makes that bike sound great don't they, I don't know about the slash downs but mine seem to have got tad louder after they had been on there for a few weeks. people will here you coming now. keep the shining side up. Happy riding.
I have a 2008 c50 black and i have the cobra drag pipes and got them off the cobra site. But the baffles have a screw on the back i think phillips that came out in 30 secs. a piece and about 1 hr to take off factory and put on the new ones but if fuel inj. I bought the fuel thing for it too.. the computer deal. but the pipes are loud enough to get pulled over and hear acc. about 2 miles away
No you don't have to have one. my bike has a carb. but I have guys that have put those pipes on bikes that were fuel inject. and did not affect them . The Bike shops will tell you that so you spend more money.
sounds awesome. is your bike a 800? Is it to loud riding with the baffels out? I have a 2001 volusia and have been looking for the right pipes. after hearing yours i think i found the pipes i want.
Mine is a 2001, 805 Volusia. I think it sounds great going down the road. I live in east Texas so they don't give us much problems about the sound. the pipes sound fine with the baffels just not as much pop to them. Let me know if I can Help.
The cobra pipes have a baffel that goes in them I took mine out because it takes about one min. to take em out or put em in one screw holds em in they sound nice even with the baffels just not as loud I got a nice price on those pipes $299.00 let me know if you want the name and how to get in touch with them. Thanks for the comment.

How hard was it to take the baffles out of those pipes you have on?
flawlesslyfatal 2 years ago
It takes about 2 Min to take em out or put em in there is only one screw that holds the baffles in real easy.

Hey texbearden. Did you use a fuel processor along with the installation of your pipes? If you did or not, is it absolutely necessary?
