Chain store bought fish are more fragile because of what they've been through, but even those you get from breeders are delicate & their fins will never stay totally perfect. We all age ;) But I beg anyone watching this video to please research tropical fish care 100% before buying a Betta. Things like fin rot etc are not normal & it's down to you to treat it no matter where you buy from. Keep the water warm, clean, use Aquarium tonic salt and Almond Leaves, & you will enjoy a healthy Betta!

@abitofgloss Yes, he WAS. Sadly the only places around here to get those kind of bettas is PetCo. I think they get extremely stressed out and always end up with the fin rot. Glad I got lots of pics and vids of him before he passed.

he looks like my betta but my betta's tail doesn't have white his tail is full blue with some red and some turqoise colour. Your betta is so pretty.

to tell you the truth im a bit over fighters, im currently watching as my third one dies. its very sad.

@wolflythegreat09 Wow. You can always put a half floating cup for him to make a bubble nest inside and when you gotta clean the tank, you can just take the half cup out. But I don't do that because I want my fish to feel natural so I leave the nest there.

the cool thing about this fish is you don't need to have an oxygen tank in order for it to breathe. =)

yes- regular bettas are about 2.99 as to where half moons can be as little as 14.00 and up - PetCo sells them. But you can also get them from a local breeder if you can find them.
